A beautiful waterfall is located right next to the hotel…you can eat on the patio with the sound waterfall and the sight of the water. The river is directly across the street and the Ponte dei Salti bridge is in the immediate area…maybe 500 yards up the road. There are nice (and long) hiking trails, numerous rustic towns to visit, and the Verzasca Dam is just down the road. The hotel staff is very warm and inviting, and I was relieved to find they had an English speaker (actually, several) on staff.

Fabulous location right on the river. Restaurant on site with good pasta and a nice, simple breakfast offering. The hosts are super kind and helpful. Also, a convenient bus stop right in front of the hotel, and we were given a bus pass for the duration of our stay. Lots of beautiful hikes to different villages leaving right from the hotel.

The apartment was super nice: tastefully furnished and very pleasant to spend a rainy day in, lighting the fire in the fireplace gave our stay an additional charm. The kitchen is fully equipped, you can find there a small oven and toaster amongst other things. The jacuzzi has a beautiful view on the mountains and we used it daily. The resort is situated in a very good spot: 2,5h walk to Sonogno one way (if you plan to use a bus on your way back, keep in mind the gap between 12:20 and 14:50) and 2h walk to Ponte dei Salti the other way - both directions are must see, amazing views. The restaurant right next to the resort serves very good meals and tasty breakfasts - highly recommend to check it out.

Breakfast was elegantly prepared by the owners. The grape jelly served at breakfast was produced by the host from grapes grown on the property. Very delicious! And the neighbors plums which were served to us on a cake upon arrival was a really nice delicious surprise.
