It was close to everything but far enough that there was no traffic noise or music from the local clubs. Filtered water and coffee offered daily was great and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Josef who works at the front desk was amazing. Made us feel incredibly welcome and shared a lot of Costa Rican history with us. He also gave us advice of where to go, what to see and eat in puerto viejo. The property is also close to one of the best beaches. Was super relaxing and everyone was so friendly. The drinks were awesome, the included breakfast was delicious and the pool was also really nice. Highly recommend! Also, there are howler monkeys in the area which were awesome to hear and see, and with a short walk off the property there are so many other cool animals to see, Like toucans and macaws!

Staying in AWA allows you to experience the wildlife of Costa Rica without leaving your hotel. Howler monkeys , sloths , beautiful frogs and birds are hanging out right over you head :)

A small kitchen with everything you need to eat In if you like. Coffee and other staples supplied. We also loved the outdoor shower. The breakfast is the best we have ever had. We stayed for 4 nights and every morning we were served something different. The owners are so nice too.
