Peaceful location, lovely courtyard room with everything needed, including a very comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast and excellent evening meal on the day we chose to eat there. It was nice staying next to the bar - we could have a drink in the evening without worrying about who was going to drive. We're not golfers, but learned a bit about the sport while we were there! Also was great to be so close to the Nature Reserve and able to walk around Rutland Water.

Nestled close to the shores of Rutland Water, just 5 minutes’ drive from Oakham and a 50-minute drive from Leicester. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much effort for them. They were so welcoming as well. Food was delicious, location was superb and set on such beautiful green lands. There was plenty to do both in and out side.

Located in the town centre of Oakham, the The George Inn is 1.5 miles from Rutland Water. The area is popular for sailing, trout fishing, bird watching and cycling. The whole atmosphere was just wonderful the whole way through the hotel. It’s beautiful decor, welcoming and comfortable.

Tento bývalý statek ze 17. století se nachází na krásném místě v historickém tržním městě Oakham. Byl láskyplně zrekonstruován a nabízí luxusní pokoje s Freeview TV a zachoval si původní prvky. On arrival the staff were very friendly. We'd asked for an early check in, and they pulled out all the stops to have it ready within 10 minutes of arrival. All staff, whether serving us or not, greeted us and were friendly. We were attending a wedding nearby and so asked if they could order us a taxi and they actually rang round to get us our preferred time. The room was quaint and comfortable and plenty of room. The bed was super comfy and everything very clean. We ordered breakfast which was well cooked and very nice. We enjoyed our stay so much that we promised ourselves that we'd return for a full weekend in Oakham and definitely stay here.

Very very good ! Spotless clean room, large comfortable bed all we needed after a long day on the road ! Has a restaurant and a bar serving variety of drinks, breakfast and classic english cuisine which was very convenient as it felt like hotel was totally off grid.It is dead quiet at night we felt like we were single guests in there. Very friendly and attentive team members, from very welcoming reception team to extremely helpful bar/kitchen staff. We are both vegans and Kitchen staff made sure to check all the ingredients to cater for us. Just perfect!
