Located in Bukit Lawang, Rambai Tree Jungle Lodges features a garden, terrace, massage services, and free WiFi throughout the property. We are 2 friends in the autumn of our life. We went on the jungle trek and stayed overnight. Our guide, Kinol was so helpful and went at our pace. Are, his outsider carried the food. We stopped at 11 for delicious fruit. For lunch we had chicken, fried rice, tomato and cucumber. The camp on the river was well set out. Dinner was different curries.. Delicious! We saw orangutans including a big male. Different species of monkey and other interesting Forest creatures. Kinol had good eyes. We returned by a raft of big tyres joined together.. Very exciting..

There was nothing not to love here. The property was clean and well-located, the staff went above and beyond for us by helping us organize rides and activities, the bed was quite comfortable, and the food at the restaurant was tasty and cheap. With the river running by so close, it felt like we were staying at an alpine lodge! The family running the guest house is extremely kind. We couldn’t recommend this place enough. Make sure to bring cash with you, though. As of writing this it’s a cash-only town with the nearest ATM about 7km away.

Situated in Bukittinggi, 1.5 km from Gadang Clock Tower, Padi Ecolodge features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant. We love everything about the place. It feels very homey and the staff were excellent. It is an ecolodge so, a nice little walk to the property from the reception is always welcome. The location is really close to Bukit Tinggi city centre but you won't realise it as the lodge was so quiet. It is a true zen.

Sam is an attentive and friendly owner and his staff are excellent! Pipie his main guy was always there to chat and help plus he played Rummikub with us at night! The restaurant was very good with a great selection of food with amazing value! They booked out car from Medan and gave a motorbike ride to the hotel which added to our experience! We also booked a jungle trek with Andre and Rama as our guides… they were patient and fun to hang with and the provided a wonderful lunch plus we saw six Orangutans with a mom and baby within 5ft! A definite recommend to our friends !

I stayed there for a week and at the end I felt like I was leaving my new family behind. As a solo traveller, I never felt lonely during my stay there and I will never forget the interesting conversations, the jam sessions in the evenings, the excursions and above all the humour und kindness of the whole staff. I stayed in different rooms (because I kept extending my stay) and all were great, almost all with wonderful views of the lush jungle. Terima kasih!!❤️ and see you all hopefully very soon!
