We stayed there before and after a 4 day jungle trek during the low/wet season. The bungalow was located on the river, right at the edge of the jungle. There are frequently macaque and Thomas's leaf monkeys in the trees and jumping on the roof. You can leave non-food items on the patio (like clothes drying after the jungle), but the host advised us to keep the door locked when we aren't around to keep them from coming in. We specifically chose somewhere without AC to acclimatize to the temperature and humidity, but ventilation inside was good. Porters met us at our taxi to carry the luggage through the village and across the bridge, which was appreciated.

The bungalow was great. Clean, lots of room and the location is close to Olala restaurant and the village itself. Robi the manager is very helpful and always checking to make sure all is good. Staff were friendly. The snorkelling right of the dock (which is Olala’s but they were fine with Santi using) was fantastic most days. Definitely would return here

He arranged transportation to/from Bukit Lawang. He also arranged a day trip to the jungle with our guide Jhony whom we recommend as well! The place is by the river and absolutely lovely.

Sam is an attentive and friendly owner and his staff are excellent! Pipie his main guy was always there to chat and help plus he played Rummikub with us at night! The restaurant was very good with a great selection of food with amazing value! They booked out car from Medan and gave a motorbike ride to the hotel which added to our experience! We also booked a jungle trek with Andre and Rama as our guides… they were patient and fun to hang with and the provided a wonderful lunch plus we saw six Orangutans with a mom and baby within 5ft! A definite recommend to our friends !

The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Best location in Bukit Lawang as it is right at the edge of the forest :) make sure to stay more than one night to also explore the village, do a cooking class and have a massage! We‘d love to come back!

Service at all times was exceptional. Even the third-party spa treatment ladies were lovely. Morning breakfast buffet was a very good selection each day with an egg station. Restaurant offering overall was very good and well-priced. Very helpful with onward travel arrangements. Lots of activity in managing the property ahead of the high season by happy and hardworking staff.
