On the shores of Killary Harbour lies Ireland's oldest coaching inn. Dating from 1796, you'll find traditional home cooking, antique furniture and the most spectacular views in Ireland. The room was kind of a perfect little room, comfortable bed, and had a small balcony that looked out over the water and mountains in Connemara. Beautiful! Had an actual hot-breakfast included in the booking which was terrific. Very happy with the booking.

The room was spacious and clean with a big, comfortable bed and even an outdoor deck. It was a perfect base to set off from for a couple of days exploring the island, always full up on a good breakfast provided by the Dolphin first, of course.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful and fit happily into their gorgeous surroundings. Staff were great, very pleasant and welcoming. The bedroom and bathroom were lovely and extremely comfortable. Food was excellent, everything was delicious! I look forward to a return visit!

Set in beautiful gardens in the heart of Connemara, the romantic Abbeyglen Castle Hotel has tennis courts, a spa bath and stunning views of Clifden and the Twelve Bens mountains. Attention to detail was impeccable, beautiful hotel and yards, views and gorgeous rooms. Loved our stay, 2nd time here. Can’t wait to return, loved the history and music at night.

If your travelling the connemara make sure to stay the night here! The staff from the get-go were very nice and very helpful. As a passing mountain biker I needed over night storage - this was no problem as one of the lads right away gave me a hand. The food is top class, you have to taste it to believe it! The room and the location is also top class with spectacular views of the lough Inagh and the huge mountains that dominate the gorgeous location.

Although our room didn't have a sea view the manicured gardens still retained their Irish wilderness. Will definitely be back
