Rita Izumo is an ancient warehouse that has been beautifully renovated. The inside in ancient wood is very cosy, every object has been chosen with care and taste. Very comfortable space, lovely fresh flowers in every room. My host, Yamane San was very welcoming, kind and helpful. Thank you for everything 🙌🏻 Delicious breakfast in an old soy brewery next door with the kindest host. I can only highly recommend Rita Izumo when staying in Izumo !

Set 1.7 km from Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, Onyado Nono Matsue Natural Hot Spring offers 4-star accommodation in Matsue and has a spa and wellness centre. In this hotel, you remove your shoes when you get in, which gives an immediate feeling of coziness. The hodel has state of the art facilities (wellness area, with Sauna -with TV inside :-), Onsen, and multiple baths on a roof top - this was really super cool). The hotel offers a lot of free goodies, such as ramen in the restaurant at night, ice-cream, etc.. The room was super clean, super well equipped, I slept like a baby. The hotel was 10 min. walk from the JR station, and 10 min. walk to the castle. I would strongly recommend this address, and would not hesitate to go back theer again myself.

Featuring 4-star accommodation, Oyado Tsukiyo no Usagi is set in Izumo, 2.6 km from Inasa Beach and 500 metres from Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo. The staff service was exceptional. This is definitely our favourite Ryokan. The bathing facilities are great, especially after long walks! Next time we are back in Izumo we will definitely book this hotel. Food is really good, for drinkers it's worth going for the unlimited deal.
