There are very helpful and kind, I forgot to printed out my ship pass and the lovely Ms Shenell Bates at the reception printed out for me no questions asked, all with the most beautiful and welcoming smile. Thank you Shenell. She was also very knowledgeable of her surroundings which saved me a taxi fare, as I was able to walk and see a bit of Colon.

Situated in Portobelo, Colon region, Belo Bay Apartment Hotel is located 2.2 km from Huertas Beach. I normally stay in Casa Congo on the other side when I arrive to Portobelo , but during these dates , my preferred rooms were not available so that chose to stay at belo bay that offered a well decorated and specious room with a nice balcony , convenient bad and well equipped room with ac and bathroom. We stayed there 3 days traveling to isla Mamay, Isla Grande and around. Owners are very welcoming and leaving next door so they can assist if anything is needed. Great experience for a good value

Stau away from Colon - unless you want to watch the Gatun Locks
Colon is dangerous REALLY - to walk around. Take a taxi always ! If you stay for days, you can take a bus to Porto Bello, we did and did enjoyed it.

Colon is for business only, if need some culture in colon is not the place even though you would definitely find some unusual culture, which can be scary and dangerous but being in free Zone or near Radisson hotel, there is no worries. And the international market of colon is wide with variety for businessman and for business opportunities. Also is important to have some break from the stress of work, and to visit the capital there is a train that goes to the city from colon, it passes through some amazing places, do not miss.

No real need to stay in colon as there is time to do a day...
No real need to stay in colon as there is time to do a day trip from Panama City. We hired a car and drove to portobello a quaint old town with two ruined fortifications. We stopped at a restaurant just outside the town on the way back which had a pretty jetty with sun beds and tables and chairs. It had some basic rooms and we wished we had stayed here rather than colon. Roads were safe but sign posts were limited and confusing.

We are very grateful for all the attention and care we received in Isla Grande, Colón – Panama. The Staff was amazing and did all their utmost to provide us with the best experience. The room was also very nice and spacious, with even 2 beds. The food was also very tasty, both at breakfast and lunchtime. Very much recommended.

The hotel was located just in front of the port where cruise ships dock. Ideal for staying over night if leaving on the cruise. Colon is an ugly city, but the neighborhood of the hotel was nice and safe. A lot of shops around and there is a massive construction going on where they are building new shops at the port.

Amazing!!!! We loved this place, peaceful, natural, many animals around, fantastic!! Sebastien has so many tips, made our stay unforgettable, we could join Jungle and Beach for our 2 last days in Panamá, just perfect! Would have love to stay longer to see more!! And have to say that going into the Jungle with Pascal was amazing, such an incredible feeling to go through this nature and felt really safe with Pascal!
