I would certainly go back to this place.

If you’re heading to Bwindi for trekking, this place is it—don’t look any further. I’ve traveled around Uganda before, and this was definitely one of my top stays. The quality of the lodge is way beyond what you'd expect for the price. Everything was new and spotless, the food was delicious, and the overall value is unbeatable. A huge shoutout to Madinah and the rest of the team—the people at Gorilla Leisure Lodge are among the kindest I’ve ever met. They went out of their way to make sure I was smiling from start to finish. We went gorilla trekking at Rushaga gate (amazing!) and the lodge is just a 15-minute drive away. Unlike some who have to wake up at 4 AM to drive an hour and a half on rough roads, you’re super close to everything here. Gorilla Leisure Lodge is a hidden gem thats only 15 minutes away from the gate. My only regret is that we stayed just one night. It would have been perfect to return after trekking and unwind on the porch with the beautiful mountain views. I would have loved to see the sunset and soak up more of the lodge’s serenity. Gorilla Leisure Lodge is top-notch, and the warmth of the team makes you feel right at home. I’ve already recommended it to my family, and I’d definitely come back in a heartbeat!

The facilities were great, it has breakfast included with many different options and they were tasty. The host, Ivan, is an encyclopedia of knowledge on Uganda and surrounding areas. He helped book a tour for me and also transport to the border with Rwanda. I would definitely stay here again.

The hospitality was top notch and amazing. The house is run by some of the friendliest people in Uganda. The reception was awesome and we totally felt like we were at home! We were treated so respectfully by the hosts that we would willingly have stayed if we had the time.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Ntebeko Homestay! From the moment we arrived, Alan, our host, made us feel so welcome and at home. His warm hospitality, deep knowledge of the area, and genuine kindness made our experience truly unforgettable.
