A rooftop lounge with views of the city skyline, on-site modern restaurant and a large indoor lap pool highlight the Loews Chicago Hotel. We were really pleased with our choice of the Loews for our trip to Chicago. It is in a perfect location, close to Michigan Avenue and the river but we enjoyed Streeterville itself too- Roberts Pizza, Lao Sze Chuan, and the Shoreline boat tour- and we had a great view of the lake and Navy Pier. The hotel is understated but very very comfortable, with an incredibly comfortable large bed, a desk that two can use, an huge elegant bathroom with great hot water pressure, and total blackout blinds so we slept to 8am every morning. It is probably the most comfortable room we have had on our month-long overseas trip. The lobby is cozy, hip and functional like lots of private living rooms. We had brekkie at ETA every morning and the food was great, esp the remarkable lobster eggs Benedict. The pool was just ok and full of kids, but what can you do and at least they had a pool but no jacuzzi. My family enjoyed their Streeterville Social club bar for nibbles and drinks in the sun in the arvo. My family lives in Chicago and I would stay at the Loews again in a heartbeat when we visit.

Featuring an indoor pool with outdoor access and a hot tub, this Mount Vernon, Illinois hotel is located off Interstate 57, just 14 minutes’ drive from Green Hills Golf Club. The complimentary food provided was fantastic. Dinner and breakfast was provided as part of the price for the night stay. It was wonderful :) The room was exceptionally clean and quiet. Staff was courteous and smiling !!

Featuring stunning views from every area of the hotel, this landmark building of stainless steel and tinted glass stands 92-stories above the Loop and North Michigan Avenue along the Chicago River. The lake view is absolutely amazing. We were lucky enough to be there on a Saturday night and the room was a front row seat to the bi-weekly fireworks (I was told they do them on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the spring and summer). At check in try asking for a higher floor!

One of the great cities of America
One of the best cities in the Untied States to visit and live and work. There a wide range of museums and art galleries offering both permanent and touring exhibits which offer discounts to Illinois and Chicago residents. There are also several prominent universities and colleges here, in addition to one of the best medical programs in the country at Northwestern. The [public transportation system in Chicago is efficient and relatively clean, and it is easy to get around the city. There is also a plethora of restaurants to eat at, and a multitude of cuisines to choose from!

My husband and I were raised near Chicago and always look forward to returning though our family has scattered. Ease of access to downtown via O Hare and Midway is great. My daughter and I enjoyed staying this time at Hotel Blake near Gino's East for a great pizza night out. Meli Cafe next door in Printer's Row offers wonderful dining options from breakfast through dinner. Sayat Nova Restaurant on Ohio provided a wonderful lunch option for us after a Chicago Architectural tour. Our Illinois hearts remain as supporters of the Art Institute. Millenium Park and Maggie Daley Park are a joy!

I attended the Illinois State Fair which is always a fun week. The Lincoln Sites are outstanding, exp. the Lincoln library. I enjoy a few unique restaurants, Cozy Dog, Maid Rite and Sunrise Dinner. A local donut shop Mel-o-creme are fresh and tasty.

Amazing city.
Amazing city. Especially if you decide to walk around town, instead of taking the bus. In a day, I got to see Navy Pier, Millenium Park, walk down Michigan Avenue, visit Ohio Street Beach and walk along Chicago Lakefront Trail. and along some nice streets that otherwise would go unnoticed (like sipping coffee at the Starbuck on East Illinois Street and North McClurg Court, and admiring the nice little townhouses across the channel). Also, the Chicago River Architecture Cruise was amazing, and allowed me to see other parts of Chicago that I wouldn't have otherwise. All in all, it was an amazing two-day visit to Chicago (was in town for Pearl Jam's concert), and I'm really looking forward to repeat the experience in the near future.

I (really) didn't observe Skokie that much--because it's a north suburb that very close in proximity to my day job (a State Of Illinois office) and I'm usually in that vicinity. However, overall, I enjoy Skokie and thinks it's a cool place--even though (over the last few years) the suburb has become a place where acts of gang violence has grown by leaps and bounds--in comparison to the past. Nonetheless, Skokie is still a great suburb and all suburbs (and their general vicinities) have had their share of crime and violence--to some degree.

The continental breakfast was excellent. Great selections of warm and cold food options from all the food groups. Our children enjoyed the swimming pool too. Our hotel was located close to the attractions we desired to see (Ravinia, Chicago Botanical Gardens, Illinois Beach State Park). Parking was easy and the elevators worked well and were roomy. Our specific room included a doorbell to press for assistance (for those who are blind or deaf).

The area around the hotel was fairly quiet as it was also on the edge of town. The hotel is relatively new, it is clean and comfortable. The bar was nice and the complimentary breakfast was decent--nothing fancy but it fit our needs.

It had all the amenities I needed. 24 hour tea and coffee station was a HUGE plus. Location was excellent, as I was just needing to rest while traveling on I-57. There is a gas station right next to the hotel, which was another huge plus. I would absolutely stay here again, when needing to break up my trips to and from Chicago, from Southern Illinois.

It's cheap and is in a good part of the city. Roads around the hotel are excellent, which is strange for Illinois. Worth the stay if you don't really care about where you stay and are there for the city.
