I had been here before so I knew what I wanted---good-value, nice facilities in a quiet area with beautiful landscapes. Happy to say the hotel continues to provide this, with no power outages in storms, hot water and copious AC at all times, and delicious food in the restaurant (Vietnamese food only---don't order Western food, the chefs are not trained despite it being on the menu). Visiting tourists should drive along the road to Laos and keep crossing the river over the many 'cầu treo' (I forget the English term, not 'hanging bridges' surely)---there are so many lovely villages in the area.

Next to the hotel was a mini WinMart on one side and a bakery on the other side, though a bit farther down the road. It had good bread and pastry items.
