Located in the Assegaay Nature Reserve just outside the town of VanWyksdorp, Rooiberg Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and on-site restaurant all surrounded by the Rooiberg Mountain Range. Restaurant, staff and grounds were all immaculate. The area is remote and quiet. The accommodations here make the trip worthwhile! The service by all the staff was incredible.

Lovely warm blankets to ward off the winter chill. We all slept peacefully from the first night. 2 Weeks wasn't long enough! Andre and Ashley were generous hosts and went out of their way to assist us from travel ideas to washing our hire car! The first thing that struck us was the quiet! So quiet in fact that we could hear the beating wings of birds that flew past. And the sunrises and sunsets were beyond stunning. Our final night we were blessed with the most dazzling display of the Milky Way we could ever imagine. If you want peace and rest and home away from home comfort in majestic surroundings then this special place if for you!
