We selected this hotel to get out from our stressful routine life, and our choice was absolutely correct. The property had the much anticipated tranquility and the greenery that we were looking forward for. The staff was extremely cordial and corporative. The food was not cheap but definitely more than valuable for the price paid for. The resort is not for business travellers since it's little far from Kandy City.

When I arrived there was a bad smell in my room so I was moved to another room. I asked to have an AC room, so they moved me to a room with AC, but then the AC unit was stuck on one setting so couldn’t use this. The room was dirty around the edges and needs updating. The bedding and pillows inside smelled. They need new pillows. The bed was not that comfortable. Fan was clunky and loud so kept me up at night. There is no bolt or lock on the door, only a button on the door jamb. As a solo female traveller, I like to have a secure lock on the door, so that meant I wasn’t that comfortable. No access to drinking water- asked staff at the top floor restaurant to fill my bottle up, not very convenient. Location is nice and quiet, but difficult to get to with one way system around the lake. The staff were very helpful with anything I needed. Room was spacious. Just think it is advertised and rated above what it is. There isn’t a nature trail near the hotel as I had thought from the name of the hotel.

We had stayed at this place back in 2019 and came back in 2025. This hotel located not far from Kandy city center but very close to nature on the river shore. We love the location as you can easily go to Kandy whenever you want but you can enjoy the river view, watch birds and animals from your room or from the restaurant. We also enjoyed our breakfasts there. Wery well prepared omelets, fruit, juice, toasts with butter and jam, pancakes. Once had dinner there. Devilled prawns were really good. The owners were very nice and welcoming. I must mention the lady owner’s driving skills which are exceptional as we were delivered at the train station very fast and right on time. She saved our trip to Colombo, and we are so very much grateful to her.
