Continental breakfast is included each morning. Personal attention and care of amazing staff from the point you get off the boat to the point you leave the resort. Boutique resort with only a few guests at any point. We actually were even alone on the resort for a couple of nights which felt special. Facing calm waters even during sea storms, beautiful reefs within minutes of a boat ride. Very nice burres with panoramic glass doors which we kept open to allow the breeze during the day. Fine cuisine with local ingredients and freshly caught fish.
Kadavu
PAPAGENO RESORT & DIVE has a garden, private beach area, a restaurant and bar in Kadavu. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. The accommodation features room service, and currency exchange for guests. We were there when it was quiet so we got upgraded from a backpacker room to a private room by the manager. So surprised and so happy. The vibe of the whole resort is really calm and chill. Every day you wake up with the sounds of tides and singing from birds. Mosquito there is crazy but the patio of each room has mosquito screens so you can still open the door sit outside and enjoy the ocean breeze. The swim with Manta Ray tour is absolutely amazing. It's so much better than the Manta Ray tour in Yasawa, which you might have to swim with 30+ other guests... Here, they go in smaller groups and you will have plenty of time to encounter these beautiful giants. All the staff always make sure that every guest enjoys their stay. They take care of little kids and ensure they also enjoy their time too. Thank you Papageno. You are one of the highlights of our Fiji holiday :)
Naviti Island

We had the most incredible stay at Mai Sunset Island Resort in Fiji, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel like family. The resort is a true paradise, nestled on a pristine beach with swaying palms and crystal-clear waters that seem to glow at sunset—hence the name, and it absolutely lives up to it!
Our bure was a perfect blend of traditional Fijian charm and modern comfort, with a cozy bed, stunning ocean views, and an outdoor shower that felt like a little slice of luxury under the stars. The food was a highlight—fresh, local ingredients crafted into delicious meals, with the coconut ice cream being an unforgettable treat. The compulsory meal plan was worth every penny, offering a variety of dishes that showcased Fijian flavors.
The activities were endless and so much fun—snorkeling over vibrant reefs, kayaking along the shore, trips to the local village or just lazy stroll along the beach. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every experience was seamless, always with a smile(thank you Male, Nivi, Ave, Vinie, Rauga).
What truly sets Mai Sunset apart is its serene, intimate vibe. It’s not overcrowded, so you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. The connection to Fijian culture was also special—learning about local traditions and seeing the care put into every detail made the stay meaningful. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and create memories that last a lifetime, Mai Sunset Island Resort is pure perfection. I’m already dreaming of my next visit!

People were so friendly!! Kind, helpful. Snorkling great off resort. Shark snorkel really fun and I saw a lot!
There‘s a marine biology center with scientist at the resort. They give daily talks about the ocean. A lot of different activities. Food is amazing. Nice snorkeling from the beach. Very friendly staff.
Second time for us in the last 2 years so we really enjoy this piece of paradise . It has a relaxed vibe and an understated ambience that results in a lovely restful holiday. Beautiful snorkelling just off the beach and even with low tide can get out swimming. Staff are friendly , manager is very involved with helping out with chores around the resort. Food is nicely presented and tastes good. Great massage at the spa
Absolutely fantastic resort. I did three resorts during my Yasawa islands stay (Barefoot Kuata, Barefoot Manta - all three in dorms) and this one was the best. By far the best food, super nice staff, lot of different activities and trips available. Also the hike above the resort was the nicest. Dorm was clean, no bunk beds and lots of personal space. Beach was great - hotel has a nice entrance to the sea and if you wish to snorkel you can simply walk 1 minute to the Blue lagoon resort beach and there is nice coral. Loved it
The place is beautiful. Don’t expect luxury, but you will enjoy delicious food during your stay and receive the best treatment. Very good people.
The staff here are warm, friendly and go out of their way to help you and were so awesome with our son. We loved the location of the resort on Malolo Lailai Island which was stunning and all the facilities- especially the playgrounds and all the pools. Fun snorkelling at the resort and a wide variety of trips available to go out on the water. An excellent family resort.
Everything in Coconut Beach Resort is perfect. Excellent geographical location, stunning scenery, perfect beach, excellent accommodation environment, friendly staff, diverse activities, and delicious cuisine... Anyway, everything here exceeded my expectations!!!
The location is what brings us as a family back to Mana year after year. Yes, there are better resorts but it's where it is that overrides a five-star resort on the mainland. The pool is great, the beaches fantastic, and our room was the 2-storey beachfront unit so has heaps of room for four adults. The food can be hit and miss but is slowly improving. This is a beach getaway location in Fiji so it may not be quite what you would expect but all round it is a great family resort.
Amazing infinity pool with a great pool area and amazing snorkelling straight off the beach. Garden resort room was lovely, comfortable and close to the main area. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Totally recommend the tree top spa massage.
