During my trip to Polonnaruwa, my car broke down in Habarana, forcing me to stay overnight. I booked a room at Gabaa Resort, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience despite the unexpected situation. The staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help me find a reliable garage and get my car fixed promptly. The room was clean and comfortable, providing much-needed relaxation. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, exceeding my expectations. Though my stay was brief, the exceptional service and hospitality left a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

We had dinner cooked for us by them on second night and it was delicious. What a gem of a place! When you arrive, the entrance doesn't look like much but once you go up the stairs and meet the family, you know you're in the right place. They are simply the kindest people you will meet on your journey. I loved my room. The bed was the best I've had on this trip. New, soft, and so comfortable. The room was spacious and the bathroom was modern and clean. The breakfasts are insanely good. An array of home cooked and mostly coconut based dishes. I'm a fan of coconuts so this was heaven for me. They have the hookup for tuktuks around the old city and there are lots of restaurants immediately around the guesthouse.

The bungalow is amazing too, a comfortable and beautiful place in the middle of nature with a private pool - we enjoyed a lot! I highly recommend!

The pool is really good, located in nature And feels like a spring. The food is excellent. The staff is really good. We stayed in 3 hotels in the city and this is the best hotel by far. A great place for children. Highly recommended for those who want to be in a beautiful place in nature and close to all the historical sites. We had a great experience, highly recommend.
