It's an excellent and peaceful location with a beautiful view of the river. The room was spacious and very clean. Would highly recommend staying here if you come to Udawalawe. HOW TO GET THERE: If you're coming by bus from Thanamalwila, insist the busdriver to stop at the busstop of Udawalawe Hydro Power Plant at the mainroad, it's a 30min walk from there. Otherwise the busdriver seems to drop off all tourists at the junction which is 4km away, collaborating with the tuktuks as you have no other option than to take an overpriced tuktuk. If you travel onward to Embilipitiya, the busstop is just a 5 min walk from the mainroad of the accomodation. Turn left and walk to the bridge. It's the starting point of the bus to Embilipitiya, where you can take another bus to the south/Tangalle.

We spent 2 great nights in this accommodation. We had an amazing time there. Room was clean with outdoor bathroom. The place is in the middle nature, around sounds only animals. It’s close to entrance to safari Udawalawe National Park. Breakfasts were very tasty, staff was very friendly and helpful. We had also very delicious dinner especially kottu. This place is so quiet and peaceful. Perfect for clearing mind. Highly recommend.

The service was highly professional, with staff always being warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean and impeccably arranged, adding a touch of comfort. The resort also offers a variety of recreational activities, such as safari trips to explore the wildlife. The hotel provides meals and drinks that guests can take with them on their safari trips. The restaurant serves delicious dishes that showcase the authentic flavors of Sri Lanka in a delightful way. I would like to thank the reception staff, especially the young lady Dilmi, for their kind welcome. I also extend my gratitude to the staff member Lakman for his professional service and room preparation. I cannot forget the lovely young lady in the restaurant, the amazing chef, and the restaurant manager David, who provided an exceptional experience in presenting the delicious Sri Lankan dishes. Jansen’s Bungalow Sinharaja Rainforest Retreat offre un giardino, una terrazza, un ristorante e un bar a Kudawe. Amazing bungalows with a spectacular view. We had everything we needed there and it was such a good space to just relax and enjoy nature. The bungalows were very clean and the common areas were nice to spend time in. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to switch off and connect with nature.
