We stayed 2 different nights, one on the way up to Wisconsin and once on the way home. While the first stay was better than the second, there were several things that could have gone better. The cabins have steep steps you have to navigate to get to you cabin, some are worse than others. When I made the reservations, I told them we had a special needs adult, you would think they would make sure she wouldn't have the steepest climbs, nope. Also, the walls of the cabins are wood and the cabins are cute, but they really needed a good dusting. There several items that didn't work either. Plug in the bathroom at one and the phone in the second. The can opener also did not work. Good thing we brought one! Most everyone was pleasant but I think the entire restaurant staff were mad during the second night. Overall, pleasant enough. Sadly, we likely won't be back.

Nostalgic hotel in a beautiful state park setting. The room was rustic and nostalgic in design yet well equipped and exceptionally clean. The balcony had a beautiful view of the pool and woods. They had the best hotel breakfast that I've ever had, the potatoes were delicious!
