United Arab EmiratesWas given smoking room on a smoking floor without staff even asking, and I’m not a smoker, imagine the smell in the room, horrible. managed to change. restaurant in the hotel had poor options, however food was good. swimming pool was overcrowded. after checkout they were calling me and trying to scam me to pay for broken TV, that I haven’t even switched on. Tried to scam my friend as well, charged her twice, and later were trying to convince she is wrong. horrible hotel. would never recommend anyone to stay here!!!

United Arab EmiratesSo, maybe I'm too strict but, for the hotel marked as 5* there are some issues 1) there was no bathrobe in the room. Seems strange for a 5* hotel, really 2) There was a dust in the room. 3) There was no additional information about services mode in the Ramadan. Some of them are not available or operate in a very reduced mode. The pool and other services on the first floor were not available in the evening time, (but nobody suggested a discount or noticed me)
Overall the hotel is clean, personnel is friendly and ready to help you anytime. They have been provided with almost anything my family asked them - from an additional bed for the baby to juice for dinner for the kids. It was Ramadan time, so the hotel was almost empty (except for evening iftar - that's a holy time for Muslims)

This time I came by 1am mrng already my id was there in the hotel they make to wait in the lobby for more then 20 mins also the night controller staff was don't no to handle the complaint when I ask why u said upgrade but this room was not upgrade. He said this is the only thing we can give u if need take it about the products knowledge is zero I ask him what all room type u have he can't answer also. After all the issues once I reach the room he is given a room with a balcony but before he said we are not available with that room type then how suddenly it came. One of the very very bad stays in rotana hotel group no more visit to this hotel at all ***** before book think that need proper respect or not **** thank you hili rotana for this high respect given for the guest

OmanI requested a room for 2 adults and 2 kids through Booking.com. When I checked in, they told me there is no space to add a bed for the kids, they said if you want a bigger room fits the family, you have to upgrade and pay more otherwise all of you can sleep in that tiny room in one bed.

United Arab EmiratesI had some allergy which forced me to visit the hospital during my stay . I'm not sure it was due to VOC(volatile organic compounds) or something else, but I think they have to look into the indoor air quality, and for carpets cleaning to avoid that . I also booked through Booking.com for 3 adults and 2 children including the breakfast, but unfortunately I had to pay further for the breakfast in the hotel due to some issues in Booking.com application, I consider it was misleading, which made my choice expensive.
The reservation manager was supportive at his max to sort out an issue caused by booking.com.

I asked for bucket of ice and was surprised that they provided me ice in plastic bag and informed me that they don't have a bucket and what was more funny that they were asking me to pay for the bag of ice!! Later the ice melted and all the water was on the floor!!!! Later I informed the manger about what happened, he apologised to me and told me they will a new one. Again I got a BAG of ice !!!! I called the manger and asked him to come to the room and gave him the bags, again he apologised for the 2nd time and promised that he will fix it ASAP. Guess what after that he ignored me and didn't send anything to me or get back to me. Later I called the room service and asked them for the ice a gentleman name Mohamed he was very nice and apologised to me again and promised to fix this ASAP after 10min I got a bowl of ice!!! Honestly I can't believe this is 5 starts hotel and tat hiw you deal with gusts especially when booked a suit with breakfast and paid a lot of money. Moreover the breakfast was very poor and not much variety and most of the food was called and only 2 kids of juice available!!!! Honestly a waist of money and never recommend.

United Arab EmiratesThe shower head in the toilet need to be replaced immediately, the water pressure with this kind of showers can cut through your skin, I had sensitive skin and had difficulty to shower as the head is very old and need replacment. Also, the breakfast was very normal and staff at the BF are not very helpfull and very hard to get. No staff at the entrance to the buffet and no one showed up to show us where to set or help us with cutlry and coffee at all.
