Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. AustraliaWe stayed at the Gateway eight years ago and again we were very happy with our experience. The rooms are generous, clean and well presented. Staff are happy and helpful. Breakfast had a great selection. The Gateway offers great value and being in the old part of the city, it's a 10 min walk to Dubai Creek to catch an Abra (wooden boat) across to the Souks. Also a 10 min walk to the Arbian Tea House to get an authentic Arbian dinner. Will stay again.

As usual, the staff did a great job welcoming and catering for us! They were all fully attentive at any requests we made and reacted promptly. We LOVE staying at Gateway as they offer the best deals in so many ways; rooms are extremely spacious, amazing & helpful staff, cleanliness amd so on. As always our good friends John, Muhammed & the other guy (forgotten the name but porter) were all great with their benevolent manners. They are real assets for the hotel. We will also thank Rajan (Room service) & the team at reception for their excellent professionalism, especially the lady who welcomed us on the first day when we checked in. She showed us 2 rooms & allowed us to choose the one with the dining table... She has remarkable ethics & standards which showed how professional she was/is at her job... Keep it up Madam!

SeychellesThe room was not appropriate, it wasn’t comfortable as it used to be. The bathroom was not what was expected. Shower hose in the tub was too high and very u comfortable for showering purpose. Smell of drainage time to time during the day. Breakfast not much of a variety despite being a buffet. Maybe should consider the type of clients being accommodated will also help with the type of meals food serve as per clients culture/needs. Transportation service for airport drop off was beyond our expectations. Very good service. In general compare to the past stay at the hotel, I will say the standard of the hotel Itself has gone down a bit, and needs to be met up to customers needs and wants and most importantly VALUE FOR MONEY, especially being repeaters of the hotel.

From Housekeeping to the reception, restaurant staff are all doing an excellent job to make their guests comfortable. My room is always clean, bell boys deliver my food to my room etc... Saudi ArabiaWe asians are used to having wet bathrooms and so we need rubber slippers which were not available. There is nothing else to complain.
The room was clean , large and beds were comfortable. The staff were professional and special mention must be made of Miss Jyoti.Location is near to transport and restaurants.We wanted to extend our stay for two more days, but we could not get it on the same rate so we left for another hotel.
