Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOverall clean. Enjoyed my stay, staff is polite, accommodating and clean your room daily upon request. The hotel is near everything you need, barber, supermarket, some restaurants, the museum and the heart of Satwa.

United Arab EmiratesStaff were polite but didn't go the extra mile to make things easier. I was referred back to the third party app for my tax invoice which was incorrect and when asked about details for parking I just got confirmation there was parking. In the end Nehal sorted out my invoice via email and was a great help - so I have mixed feelings on the staff...
Hotel has nice feeling with easy parking and good location.

Czech RepublicA new building is under construction right next to the hotel, so it may become quite noisy during the day while the work is ongoing. There’s not a lot of storage space if more than one person is staying in the room.
The hotel has beautiful decor, and the staff is super helpful. The room isn’t the best for working since the chair is uncomfortable and the table is small, but the "office room" downstairs was perfect and had everything needed to get work done.

TurkeyIn the season I was in, it was cold in the evenings, there was a heating problem in the room. I got cold at night.
I liked the room's decoration and the comfort of the bed. Even the coffee cups were very nice. The reception staff were very helpful and kind. The hotel's location was excellent; it was quite close to the Dubai World Trade Center. There were also nice restaurants nearby. Also breakfast was good.

RussiaThere's some construction site near the hotel (as usual in Dubai) and work starts at about 7 am there. It wasn't a problem for me but if you prefer to sleep in the morning, it may be an issue. So better to ask the staff about the room view (a road or a construction site).
Good location for reaching the Metro station, World Trade Center (if you need it), and so on. Good staff, clean rooms. Also I'm thrilled with the cafe in hotel with a lot of interesting chocolate things!

ArmeniaWe stayed for 3 nights and the room was not cleaned even once. Very-very slowly waiters and service at breakfast. We waited for more than 60 minutes on one of the days to get our food (30 minutes waiters just do not service us, then they prepared food for 30 minutes, and finally waiters forget what we ordered and we needed to order once again). I recommend staying in this hotel without breakfast.
It has a good location, nice room design, and tasty breakfast.

ItalyThis is my second time at the Shada hotel. That is a very quiet hotel. The people working here are extremely kind. The rooms are big and full of essentials. I especially enjoyed the swimming pool on the roof. Amazing place! I will come back for sure!

ItalyI loved everything! There is also a very good smell everywhere!
The property is just the perfect place where to find some peace inside a very busy city. I love the fact that it wasn't close to the traffic and it feels to be in a peaceful oasi where you can enjoy the swimming pool, the cinema and the best breakfast you can have in a hotel. I loved a lot the decors and the style of this property. I felt home straight away. It do feels really like a home away from home. Everything inside the hotel it gives you a sense of warm welcome. The staff is the best I have ever met. Everyone of them is doing their job amazingly. I will never forget this place.

GreeceLiterally zero negative comments for this Hotel
This Hotel was just amazing. It’s 15 minutes walking to the metro station that takes you literally anywhere, plus there is a 24 hour supermarket open right next to the Hotel. The room and bathroom was super nice and big, very clean, aesthetically pleasing and had a lot of stuff such as flip flops and a lot of small kits you might need for your stay (they also offer you a laundry service). The Hotel also has a pool that was super nice with a crazy view, a gym a kitchen for room service with good food and even a theatre room. Lastly all the staff were very nice and welcoming ready to help you with anything you need at any hour. I will totally book again when I come back to Dubai.

SpainBreakfast was a bit disappointing. You need to pick just one item from the menu. There is only one option that can fill you and that wasn't the best combination of tastes. Pool is a bit small.
Staff was great, super helpful and going the extra mile. Location of the hotel is great, close to WTC and to the metro. A good detail of offering water and dates at the reception.
