We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandA long way from town, so only worth it if you have a car. Beautiful pool, but not filled until June.

SwitzerlandIncredible team, but one employee, after I had left the hotel early because I had a meeting in Tirana, approached my friends and said that I had a problem with alcohol, making an inappropriate invitation to one of my friends to accompany him to the his room. I found it disrespectful. Because what I spent on aperol and gin is enough to pay his salary. I think it's clear what he tried to do. leaving them scared and having to put the mini fridge behind the door. the rest of the staff was incredible.

GermanyWell, people might have different opinions but honestly this hotel is the best for enjoying the aesthetic beauty of sea. You can literally enjoy the waves of blue sea while having breakfast. This hotel ( unlike the rest of the hotels) is free from the chaos of the central which is absolutely amazing for peace loving travelers. On top of everything, all the staffs are tremendously friendly, welcoming and helpful. It feels like they are always there for you, especially Mevlud and Daniel, we had an issue in the washroom but they fixed it within 5 minutes that I really appreciated. Hotel staffs changed our towels and bedsheet and pillowcases everyday. Wait, this is not the whole story. If we look into the shortcomings of the hotel, first comes its location. It is far from the Sarandë central and you have to either take taxi or walk 10/12 minutes to a bus stop. The problem is there is no bus after 6:30. So, if you plan to stay late in the central, you must walk 30 minutes to come back to hotel or spend 15€ to get a taxi. Bathroom facilities might be disappointing too. It doesn’t have hand-wash, hanging towel/bathrobe is little inconvenient. I believe hotel Dodona should work on the following things 😊- 1. Blankets can be changed 2. Pillows’ quality can be improved 3. More breakfast items can be added 4. A hand wash is a must in the washroom Anyway, I am still in favor of Dodona because of its hospitality. The staffs are amazing.

ColombiaThe shower didn't have a door, so all the water got all over the floor. The ventilation in the bathroom was very loud! The location looks good on the map but the reality is that you need to walk a considerable distance to get to the principal road and find restaurants and other stores, and evening/night time there are not lights making the road completely dark and difficult to walk.
The view was exceptional. The room was big and fresh. The waitress was very kind.

United KingdomIt just seemed a bit unloved. There were no bedside lights. There is a charge for the loungers on the beach. Next to the beach there was a lot of litter. It is a long way out of town, but it is walkable (about 45 minutes) and there are regular buses.
The view was amazing. The staff were really friendly. The beach is just below the hotel. The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

United KingdomIf you're staying here for more than a few nights and you don't have a car it might be a little too isolated, it's not really near anything else. Room was a little small for two people.
It has it's own restaurant, yummy free breakfast. It has a pool and a private beach. The room was nice with a balcony. They have thier own taxi service and staff are lovely and helpful.

NetherlandsLocation was far from town, so would have to drive or taxi everywhere. Our shower did not work properly so my 6ft partner could not use the higher shower head and had to hold the hose in his hand. We asked politely for help but were told it was working fine although this was untrue. We didn't want to start a fuss so we left it alone. Later we heard that our friends who arrived later that day were offered a free upgrade to a double room which we were not offered, despite having a broken shower, which was a little disappointing to hear. We also had a power socket hanging our of our wall between the beds.
Amazing view, lots of sun light, can hear the ocean all day and night. Nice big room and good restaurant. Free breakfast was great. Very accommodating to our large friend group. The young waiter and chef working there were really hospitable and hard workers. The pool was awesome. Rooms and general areas were very clean.

PolandThe first night (after 15 hours of traveling in hot weather) the hotel manager gave us a room on the last floor - even though we have asked 3 times not to give us the room on the last floor. I know that on lower floors there were other rooms available and don't know why the first night we had stay at this veeeeeeeeeery hot last floor room with the bad smell from the toilet. Following days we had a normal room on the 2nd floor, it was ok. I have asked the kettle as we were traveling with children but it wasn't possible to get it . I didn't like that they wern't letting the kids play with the little hot-wheels cars on the restaurant floor next to our table - they explained that the other guests might not like it.. same with swimming pool ball (blown one) : kids couldn't play. My friend asked to get 2 apples for her kids , but as it was 10h05 (the breakfast was till 10h00) they said thay they have to charge for it and they asked EUR 5 for two small apples. Generally the resataurant was doing all possible to push the sales in NOT an elegant mood.. like : you can pay by card only if the total amount is of Eur 15 minimum... etc.. Wine was EUR 30 (same in EU is like EUR 5)...
The Dodona Hotel has its own swimming pool and privat beach which was very good. We didn't like the staff forbiding kids to play with the swimming pool ball (blown one) which we all found strange ..

United KingdomThe hotel is clean and the rooms are good size however location wise for local facilities unless you have a car I did nit find it great. Morning breakfast could have been better with more variety. Night time at the restaurant may need additional staff to service the guests quicker.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Place was convenient to get to the beach. Rooms were clean and spacious. Food was lovely at the restaurant. We had a pleasant stay at the hotel and I would definitely visit again.

CanadaThe rooms could use a slight upgrade, maybe some new pillows and a larger sheet for the bed as my partner and I, did not fit under one, and it’s only a sheet with no duvet. Other than that, wonderful stay!
Gorgeous amenities ~ pool, right next to the beach, umbrellas and chairs available, nice restaurant & parking available. It’s also a 10 minute drive away from grocery stores etc. also the family who runs it is lovely and very kind.
