Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryWhere do I start? The area is sketchy, apartments are unwelcoming, layouts are questionable. The owners are clearly in it only for the money; the apartments contain only the basic necessities so they can claim that it has 'all you need' and are fully equipped, but in reality that is absolutely not the case. The furniture, soft blankets, and all the individual parts look like they've been rummaged from random places. I had no inclination to use the bathroom, it looked quite repulsive. Because of the layout, when one showers, the whole bathroom is sunk in water, which then you carry to the room with your slippers. At one apartment, you have to walk through wet cement (or something alike?) to get inside because of the construction work right outside the apartment, so you carry that, too, inside the apartment. I trust the blankets and bedsheets had been washed before our arrival, the bed looked tidy enough. Altogether, not a nice experience—I've been to many Airbnbs and Booking apartments of the same nightly price, and they all were much prettier, cleaner, having much better atmosphere, and located in nicer neighborhoods.
The location of the apartment is good, insofar as it's well in the center, close to Skanderbeg Square, and an easy walk to and from most places in the city. However, the immediate surroundings and outlook of the apartment are disappointing, to say the least—as we were being led to the apartment, I almost got a heart attack seeing what the area looked like... That's to say, I definitely would NOT recommend this place for solo female travelers!!

United KingdomCan't complain for the price. A comfortable stay close to the city centre with cafes, a supermarket, restaurants, bars and bakeries all on the street. Go to Sense Bar to check in! Leo was a great host!

ItalyThe shower is not separated from the washing amenities, so beware. The building may seem like an old and run-down place but the room is exactly as shown in the pictures. Other than that, everything is good for the value!
The location was great as well as the room. The bathroom was small but it has everything necessary like the washing machine and hair dryer if you need those. The bed is super comfortable and a convector heater is present!

TurkeyRoom was a bit cold because i think windows are not closing correctly. But the room has a air conditioner so it was okey. Also the wifi was not working when we were there but it was okey because we had international data package.
Cleanliness, bed sheets were smelling so good. It was very close to the center.

PolandI choose a room not for smoking. In the hall was very strong smell smoking man from another room. The bathroom was not clean and in good condition. In the room was very hot. The clime didn't worked. I could sleep after 3 o'clock...
I was in trouble, because my hotel Kastria wanted to pay much more money than the Booking price. I have found the cheap place to sleep and young nice man take me to the hostel.

SpainThe building from outside looks like if it's about to fall. The room, the floor, the wardrobe were dirty and the bathroom was awful. We almost changed our booking last minutes but we decided to stay because it was very late. I wouldn't recommend this place

United KingdomListing didn't reflect reality in a couple ways i.e., building very old and tatty and we were walked to it which didn't feel entirely safe. Also didn't like being told we could check in early only to arrive and be told we couldn't and our bags would be stored in a bar.
Proximity to city center

GermanyThe rooms are simple, but can still accommodate two persons easily! The location is perfect, a few minutes away from rushing and touristy Skanderbeg square, but in striking distance to pretty good local cafes, restaurants, byrektores, shops and bars. The hosts were super hospitable, helpful, spoke perfect English and just nice! Best price-performance ratio for a room in Tiranë you could potentially have.

CroatiaIzbjegavati u sirokom luku.
Apsolutno nista, smjestaj nam nije odgovarai.

NetherlandsWe had a lot of bed bugs all over the matras and bed. We only found out after our first night so now we have to wash all of our clothes, our shoes and backpacks. The matras itself was also not the best, it was saggy.
The location was very nice. Not too far from the city centre. After we called about the bedbugs we did get another room so that was nice.

AlbaniaThe shared apartment was absolutely not private. Our neighbours were very loud (loud fighting and crying with open door) and knocked at our door a few times even if it was very late already (11pm-midnight).
The hosts were understanding. We arrived late because auf the traffic, even if it was very late the host welcomed us and were very friendly.

GermanyThere was mold on the wall and it was a big one. The room was stinky because of it and we were barely able to sleep. We opened the window and the additional smell of cigarettes and weed came from the street as well as noise. The toilet was clogged and when I asked the owner to solve the problem, they sent someone who unclogged it using the broom (that is also used to wipe the floor). The toilet was clogged again afterwards. The owner didn’t mention to their other guests to not throw paper towel in there. Overall disappointing. The owner didn’t even apologize for luring us into a room full of mold.
The person who showed us the room (not the owner) was nice and helpful. The sheets smelled clean.

BrazilFirst thing, and this isn't a detraction of any sort, but be aware that the Guesthouse concept isn't uncommon in Albania, essentially you are a guest in someone's house, so if this isn't what you're looking for... Calling the bathroom a room is a stretch, one could if they wanted to, shower while on the toilet. The bathroom is very small, the whole bathroom is about the size of a small shower box, it will get wet all over. Cleanliness was insufficient. There were ants climbing on us as we slept. The fitted sheets would constantly come off the mattress revealing what I think were multiple footprints and other stains on it. The furniture in the room was mostly derelict. Not that we used it but it was not in a good state.
Great location, close to Skanderbeg plaza and several nice spots in the city
