Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThere is nothing I did not like, everything was fantastic.
We enjoyed an excellent full breakfast, included with the room. My brother and sister-in-law visited from the USA. A one-night trip to Berat was a must! We had a wonderful time, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of the hosts. The facility is spotless, the rooms are lovely and well-appointed. Guest House J. Prifti is a historic building carefully converted into a small guest house. Renovation is preservation when done correctly and great care has been taken to preserve this beautiful structure which was once a family home. The location is fantastic, steps away from many restaurants, shops, and historic attractions. It is perfect for solo travelers. Be sure to visit the Fani Winery tasting room only a few steps away! The winery is also part of this family business. The wine is SUPERB!

Greatest booking in Albania! Location, extremely clean, bed was so comfortable, host so friendly. The views are incredible… it was over our expectations, much nicer than in pictures. If we ever visit Albania we would definitely go there for more days.

United KingdomIf you arrive by car just be aware it's difficult to park close to the guesthouse/in the area. There is parking you can pay for (5 euro's a day) just further along the main road if you follow the river.
Lovely guesthouse, conveniently located in the old town. Spacious and clean room with much needed air conditioning. Great breakfast and really friendly and helpful host. Lovely terrace to enjoy a drink in the evening.

New ZealandThe curtains didn't block the sunlight well.
Host was lovely and accommodating. The room had a nice charm to it being in a restored historic building. Good size room with comfortable bed. Delicious and good size breakfast. The owner even dropped us at the bus terminal in the morning.

United KingdomNothing!
Absolutely everything! The location is perfect, the rooms and bathroom are beautiful and exceptionally clean, with everything you could need (the fridge and air con was particularly handy!) Breakfast is fresh and filling. The host is wonderful, very kind and friendly. She even saved a parking space for us outside the property on arrival. We also enjoyed some delicious wine on the terrace bar, which came with snacks and fruit. One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed, not just in Albania, but everywhere!

GermanyThe stay was great, no issues. Everything was above what we expected.
The views from the outside seats where we ate breakfast and inside the restaurant area in the hotel were AMAZING. J was an amazing host and connected us with many experiences in town and was lovely. The property exceeded our expectations and we would certainly stay again. If having an amazing breakfast cooked to order while looking over the river and city sound good to you then this is the place. Easy walk to the castle from the location and parking was easy to find right across the walking bridge (5 minutes walk). Would certainly recommend!!!

IrelandCan’t recommend this guesthouse enough, everything was perfect. The house is beautiful and traditional, the room was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. Location is perfect, right in the centre of the town but peaceful and quiet. The hosts were really lovely and welcoming and when we enquired about taxi services in the town they offered to drive us to where we needed and collected us after, and wouldn’t accept payment for it. Breakfast in the morning was also delicious! Thanks for everything :)

Location was perfect in one of the typical houses of Berati Old Town, but still only a few meters from the main road. Parking is not easy there but the owner found (or had), a perfect spot for us on the street. Very kind from him! Tasty breakfast in the morning.

The guesthouse is built into the side of a mountain & has exposed stone in the bathrooms. Our host was welcoming & attentive. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the terrace. The location is excellent, all the sights of Berat are just a short walk away.

United StatesI can’t think of anything I didn’t love!
Great location, steps to everything. It’s in a pretty stone alleyway. They saved a parking spot for us right in front of the apartment on the main road, the friendliest sweetest host ever, the most comfortable bed and linens we’ve had in all of Albania. Breakfast was big with an omelet too. Loved the style of the room, old and pretty and decorated in an antique style. Amazing shower as well.
