This goes with the way Berat is built, but you should be aware it is a bit of a climb up the cobblestones stairs and path so it might not be good for those who are mobility concerns. The payoff, though, is fabulous views from each room’s small balcony and the terrace.

A traditional guesthouse with lovely and appropriate furnishings. It is in the center of the Mangalem portion of Berat, so close to restaurants. WiFi was good. And the hosts were so gracious and welcoming. Breakfast was huge, with eggs, cheese, meats, bread, vegetables, fruit, coffee, tea, and fresh squeezed orange juice all making an appearance. I would absolutely stay here again and so far it is my favorite stay in Albania.

Loved it all.

Absolutely charming and tastefully renovated as befitting a 400+ year old building! We couldn’t believe the views from the terrace and everywhere in the property. But the best of all was the hospitality. Our host Andy quietly made sure we had everything we needed - a drink on the terrace, fresh fruit, anything at all. The breakfasts he created and beautifully presented were all fresh and from local ingredients, and so much variety. We felt spoiled. Thank you Andy!

This stay was easily the highlight of our 7 day trip across Albania. The view was to die for, the rooms are traditional yet modern and with all the comforts. We received a welcome snack and the breakfast was more than exceptional. The staff is super friendly and made us feel welcome.

Cannot rate this property highly enough - perfect location to explore Berat, super welcoming staff, and the most amazing varied breakfast. The view from the balcony over Mangalem and Gorica was stunning by day and night, and the terrace was the perfect space to enjoy breakfast and relax in the evenings. We would absolutely stay longer if we could - you will not regret booking here!

Lovely historic rooms. Stunning view from the balcony where breakfast is served. The breakfast was the best on our whole Albanian trip, it was a big surprise and so delicious!! The hosts were really friendly and helpful, he even carried our luggage down to the street although we said he really does not need to do it. A really peaceful, lovely place. We enjoyed it.

We loved everything about our stay! The room was clean and in a traditional style, the hotel itself was in the most beautiful part of Berat, very central. The terrace was really beautiful and we had an amazing view from our balcony! But what made our stay was how welcoming and attentive the hosts were, they always checked on us and made us the most incredible breakfasts. We felt very well looked after, it seemed like nothing was too much for them and we would definitely come back again, thank you!!

Cosiest place in the old town with beautiful large rooms with Aircon/ Heating. The terrace has a great view over the city + river and the hosts lit a fire for us to enjoy the evening by the fireplace outside. They went out of their way with the biggest, most delicious breakfast with everything you could wish for. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming!

the property is perfect! it is in the old part of Berat, with characteristic buildings all around. The owner helped us with our luggage from the car park to the property. the rooms are traditional Albanian and tastefully decorated with articles of excellent craftsmanship. The terrace and the dining area are very beautiful. The room had a great view of the river and the part of the town on the opposite side of the river. There are a couple of very good restaurants and bakeries in the area near the hotel. The breakfast was tasty and varied like a feast. The service is very personalized as it's a family-run property with very nice owners. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to visit Berat.

The drainage system in my room was not very good, the shower is good but I was standing in the water to take the shower. Hope they have already fixed it.

I think they have the best location of the city. I would like to come back for this hotel and stay for more days, just staying on the balcony and watch the river and the sky. The breakfast is simple but very generous. The ambience of the dining place is really nice too. The price is also affordable for solo travellers.

I did not need watching TV, but I couldn’t manage how to switch it on once I tried. My room was cold with a air conditioner (heating) and duvet. If someone likes warm like me, you might need thick nightwear even in mid March.

Owner family were very helpful with little English :) My room was very clean and specious for one person with a great view.
