Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The place is dirty, especially the kitchen. The roosters from next door are making a lot of noise starting very early in the morning. The place can be very nice for the price, but misses atmosphere.
Good location. Good communication through whatsapp, quick replies.

It was so dirty and cold 🥶 We were going to spend two nights, but when we saw the hostel, we decided cancelled one of them. It's true, the owner didn't put any problem for that, it was good.

I went to Skhodar by bus and only had to walk 2 minutes to get to the hostel. They explain in the email how not to miss the door (better than just using Google Maps). The rooms are airy, clean and pleasant. The host is very pleasant, polite, friendly and helpful. It is possible to use a washing machine for *free* with the host's permission. In the kitchen there was an eggcoker and it was very practical and quick to cook eggs because after moving a lot during the day I was too lazy to cook and needed protein. You can find pan and toaster in the kitchen as well. I had a Milka shake in the fridge and someone stole it BUT that's not the hostel's fault. So put everything in a bag and seal it! Have cameras in the hostel in some areas. I recommend this place and if necessary I would stay again.

No elevator in a four floors building, no parking even if described in booking.com deacription, the pictures didn't match the reality . No towels neither sheets on arrival, (it took a while to get it)

A lot of stairs to get there...
The receptionist was helpful and welcoming. The room was very good value for money. The family room we booked was very spacious. It had air conditioning and a big balcony with a nice view.

Hostel is soulless, and facilities are lacking.
Manager is helpful, location is good if Skhoder is just a transit location for you, it's really cheap.

It was actually very small and the room was crowded with beds. Common area was very empty. The staff actually works in another place and we communicated through CAMERA (I talked to the cctv can you imagine...)
It was the cheapest hostel in Shkoder. At least there is bed to stay.

This is a basic but very clean place. We booked the family room and had a friendly welcome from the manager. The location is perfect for seeing all the centre on foot. Shkodra is a very pleasant city with friendly people and lots of nice cafes and bars.

Location is the most ideal. It is 2 minutes from the center and the bus station. It is very clean and cozy. The owner is super helpful. The price is low. Highly recommend this hostel.

First of all: We have been in town during the off season. The premises were quite cold and there was no one really arround. The room was really basic. There were no extras like a small lamp next to the bed, a TV, a second blanket or anything what would make a room more cozy. Some pipes in the bathroom should be repaired. Consider to bring your own slippers.
Top location. Nice view from the rooftop. Easy vibe and communication with the host. AC and hot water work very well.
