We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThat smoking is allowed on balcony in smoke free rooms. Because I feel sick and have terrible cough of this smell it's was very sad that all smoke from the next room comes in my room.
Brand new modern hotel, with wonderful scenery, amazing large pool and hot sauna. We really like to stay here. But I hope owner will read this and take for advice, because I definitely want to rent to this hotel again! 1. In basement where is sauna, start growing mould with can ruin everything. So please find solution to solve this problem, my advice it's deep wall cleaning and new special anti mould paint or tail on walls and better dehumidifiers. You need to make that ASAP because I know from UK how fast mould can spread around all building and growth deep in walls and then it's impossible to get rid of it. 2. I was very happy that this hotel no smoking, there is no smoke smell in every room, but next day I realised that smoked is allowed on balcony and our new neighbour smoke every 5 minutes, because of that I can't open then window, because I feel sick of smoke. If smoking is not permitted in rooms it's should be not permitted on balcony too, because all smoke does inside rooms anyway, and I believe next year when I arrive every room will have terrible smoke smell 😭 I really like this hotel and I wish its stay longer new without smoke smell and mould smell in basement. Dear Owner, you make big good job, you hotel is best of the best in Albania, its beautiful and location is perfect, even better than in Theth, but please keep rooms no smoking. Maybe make half hotel for smoking, and other half smoking permitted even on balcony, that rooms stayed smoke free, for those people that loves hiking, mountains and fresh air. Thank you and I hope to see you next year!

United KingdomPractical issues made our stay far less enjoyable than we had hoped for, to the extent that we left one day early and lost money. Some examples - really poor sound proofing throughout the hotel. Heavy slamming doors down corridors, the sounds of showers and toilets in adjacent rooms. Only 3 coat hangers, 2 of which already had complementary bath robes on them. We were due to stay 3 nights and needed hanging space. We asked for more and we're given 2, but not with a smile. There were also no hooks in the bathroom for hanging anything. No cupboards or clothes storage of any kind - very strange! Room safe didn't seem to work - we couldn't open it. Reported it to reception. We were asked if there was a key in it - there wasn't, so what we got was 'well, we can't help you then!' Also, the room wasn't serviced so we had to ask for extra toilet tissue. There's no label to hang on the door to all fire someone to come service the room. Rooms are presented as having balconies but they are practically unusable - maybe one person could stand on it, and certainly no room for a chair etc. Breakfast was probably the worst we had during 3 weeks in Albania. The first morning, juice dispensers were empty and the buffet was sparse with staff not appearing to top things up. Poor choice. It improved slightly on the second morning. No yoghurt, cereals or toasting bread - really substandard for a hotel that presents itself as something special.
The location worked well for us as we didn't really want to stay in Theth, and the drive from the hotel into Theth is great. On one level, the design of the hotel is very nice but there are several practical issues that work against it.

Italy1. Smoking in dining areas: People were smoking in the same places where we ate. This might be normal in Albania, but in civilized countries, it's completely unacceptable and disgusting! 2. Over-chlorinated pool: The swimming pool had way too much chlorine/chemicals. It was so bad that my eyes were stinging and watering the entire evening, making it impossible to swim comfortably. 3. No sauna instructions or service: There was absolutely no staff or even basic instructions on how to use the sauna! Moreover, there were no hooks near the sauna to hang clothes, robes, or towels, which is a basic necessity. 4. No towel hooks near showers: There was no place to hang towels by the showers, which made things really inconvenient. 5. Room issues: The fridge in the room was far too small, and there were no mirrors, which was very impractical. No daily housekeeping: There was no daily room cleaning or towel replacement, which is something I expect from any decent hotel. 6. Breakfast quality: The breakfasts were very repetitive and of poor quality. To make matters worse, if you wanted a decent coffee (like a cappuccino), you had to pay extra!
1. Large, free parking 2. Large room 3. Silence 4. Staff (especially guys from the bar - THE BEST! v. Nice and helpful - we really enjoy talking with them!) 5. Sauna (but look at cons!) 6. View!

IndiaNo A/C in most rooms. Its terrible during summer. Not much activities like hiking or other activities are possible. You will be bored after 1 day. They need to provide for more out door activities.
The simplicity of the place and the scenic beauty. The very accomodative kitchen staff members. Just 1 hourbfrom Thet. Can be better if they install ACs in all rooms; atleast fans

GermanyThe hotel is very nice and located in a great environment. Unfortunately, the staff and service is very poor, especially in the restaurant. I would like to briefly point out why I judge it this way: First, some of the staff obviously had a bad cold and still maintained contact with the guests at the reception and in the restaurant. Constant coughing, sniffling, sneezing or nose blowing did not give a hygienic or trustworthy impression. As a guest, once we noticed this several times in a row, we didn't really feel like having a meal. Unfortunately, there are not (yet) many alternatives in this region, so we had no other choice. The service in the restaurant unfortunately also left much to be desired. After we ordered and got the food, we were not paid any attention. The plates and bowls were still on our table for over an hour after we finished eating, even though the restaurant was not full or many guests were there. If a waiter came, it took then again very long until he came back. So we spent a lot of time waiting. Meanwhile, the waiters at the bar were busy permanently watching videos on their smartphones. Unfortunately, we experienced the worst on the day of departure. Due to the points listed, we decided against having breakfast. Instead, we just wanted to drink a water and a coffee. However, we were charged for the water and coffee, even though that is included in the paid breakfast. Other guests did not have to pay anything extra for their water or coffee. We found this to be very strange. I don't know if the waiter (the older one without a beard) had a personal problem with us, but he was very unfriendly to us. As I said, water and coffee is included in breakfast, yet we were supposed to pay for it. After 4 dinners and 2 nights in the hotel, this was unfortunately very disappointing. Room service was unfortunately also not available during the 2 nights there. Maybe this is normal in Albania or in the mountains.
Great view and location

AlbaniaThe food could be better. It looks like a lot is preprepared and most of it was cold. Our room was not clean. There was hair everywhere and a baby diaper in the balcony.
The hotel and the area around was very beautiful. The staff were very nice and helpful.

United KingdomWould be good to have coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Also would be lovely to be able to have breakfast before 8am, particularly for those wanting to get away early to walk from Theth.
Lovely alpine chalet feel room, great pool and sauna (would’ve been good if it opened before 10am), a good restaurant and breakfast (although would be good to have more than coffee in a flask). Plenty of parking.

GermanyThe hotel was super full and the waiters were overwhelmed. Also, many of the guests go there with their families and their many children which leads to big and (extremely) loud gatherings. It is also a bit frustrating how the parents let the children scream and run through all other tables without caring. In this perspective, not the best place for couples needing some time for themselves.
Great view, comfortable rooms and very nice receptionists. You feel like you’re in a ski resort even in the summer, which I liked.

AlbaniaI didn’t liked that there was no air conditioner/cooler, only heater. I did turn off all the heaters and still woke up in the middle of the night by heat due to the lack of AC. also the refrigerator door was broken so the fridge did not cool anything. A little bit expensive for what was offered. Maybe they should review their prices
