What a fantastic hostel!! All hosts and volunteers were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Place was very clean, beds comfortable and breakfast was superb. Very easy to meet other travellers and socialise or relax by yourself. Very much recommended!!

The kitchen wasn’t great for cooking, but they have free breakfast and there are cheap places to eat out in Berat.

Great location, has a beautiful courtyard and sitting area. The staff were all lovely and they give some local info and offer tours. Beds are comfy and have curtains in the dorms.

There was a strange smell in the room which came from the bathroom... Something we'd add to the room is a little lamp on the nightstand for some more gentle light.

Very nice place at a super location with a perfect view at the hills. Nice and big terrace, unlimited water from the well for free, coffee and breakfast included. Soft beds with curtains in the dorms. Volunteers very nice and engaged. Some very good restaurants with authentic albanian food nearby. I recommend this place and would come back again at any time.

Breakfast was great, comfortable bed, staff super friendly and available, hostel organized activities (wine tour and canyon tour), the wine tour is a must!

The bathroom was a little bit underwhelming as the shower curtain had almost been ripped out of the wall on our arrival, also we had not been told that we needed to turn on the boiler for the shower and had our first shower with cold water. The hostel is positioned next to a bar that played very loud music until approx 1am.

The hostel is ideally located! Perfect distance to the strip without the hustle and bustle outside the door. Great view from the hostel of the river and Bridge. Staff extremely helpful and polite. Some amazing trips offered through the hostel like canon tours, berat walking tours and vinyard tours. Staff very nonlegable about the best restaurants too. We stayed in a double private room with the ensuite. The room was clean and had a balcony with lovely views. Breakfast was included ans was perfect, something for everyone and some amazing coffee.

The breakfast was almost finished when we arrived, even though it wasn't that late yet.

The location is good, the place is clean and it is nice you have curtains and a storage space on your bed. It is great that they offer tours to Osumi Canyon. The location is really nice.

Location was great. Free breakfast was great. Staff was friendly. Go on their Canyon trip!! It may seem a little bit overpriced, but you get so much value for money and it’s totally worth it. Definitely a highlight on my trip. And our guide, who also is the guy who owns the hostel, is super amazing and made the trip even better.

The Maya Hostel is a really nice place to spend time in the lovely city of Berat. From the garden you have an amazing view on the mountains and on the Church of St. Michael. The facilities are comfortable and clean. Furthermore the exceptional staff went above and beyond helping me with any kind of inquiry. I had a great time there and I can highly recommend anyone to choose this place for accommodation in Berat.

Berat was my favorite stop in Albania all thanks to Maya hostel. It had it all- clean spaces, comfortable beds, convenient location, helpful staff and delicious free breakfast! Highly recommend both tours offered through the hostel. Great atmosphere, felt right at home.
