Reception was a bit chaotic and not all the information was always super clear. But everybody was super polite!

Great local breakfast, especially private rooms were amazing. Private bathrooms, free drinkable water and great tours provided by the accommodation.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at! Miri and the team are super lovely and hospitable The hostel offers activities that are a must! I did both the wine tour and canyon tour and loved it! So make sure you give yourself some time in Berat to do them. The hostel has a great breakfast, all the guests gather and chat around and there’s a cute bar next door to gather for some drinks. Super easy location in Berat as the street is on the river so handy if you have a car or heavy bags!

100% recommend staying here if you’re in Berat. Staff were so friendly and informative. Has a really homey feel. Small, cosy common area which makes it really easy to meet people. Beds were super spacious with curtains for privacy. And a great bar next door. Cannot fault it!

We booked a private room and got a room with beautifull view on the famous Berat buildings on the front side of the hostel. We only stayed one night but also joined a wine tour which was organised by the hostel. Would really reccommend to stay here.

it’s not necessarily the easiest place to meet others as there is no real common area to hang out in, though I did meet people through the tours

it was very clean and had a really nice relaxed vibe which I loved. also they do great excursions like the canyon tour and wine tasting

Sadly the air con in my room was basically non functional and the bathroom was weirdly designed so that the shower was basically over the toilet and water got everywhere. But I would recommend regardless

Great riverfront location with beautiful views and walking distance into Berat. Hostel was clean and comfortable, with a nice communal space to meet others. Also they own a rooftop bar next door which was great fun. Staff were lovely and helpful, and took the time to explain local sights to me before I checked in. The canyon tour was excellent and although I didn't have time to do the wine tour, I wish I had as the other guests said it was great fun. Breakfast was delicious too.

Only downside was there was only 1 bathroom connected to the 8 bed dorm. They run an awesome day trip to the canyon but it was a little bit expensive (40 euro). Wasn't much of a social vibe when we were there but this totally depends on the travellers.

Very close to the old town and give you plenty of advice for activities. Really good facilities and the beds are amazing - built-in and all have curtains.

Just one toilet for the whole room. The bed courtains and the shower need a bit of fixing.

Nicely located in an old refurbished house. They are very attent and offer a nice tour to the canyon. They serve breakfast.

Great free breakfast and tea / coffee etc. Location was good - close to the walk up to the castle and ruins. Check in was easy and the room was great - curtain for each bed, air conditioning, and clean bathroom (I was in a 4 bed dorm). I would recommend staying here if you're in Berat.

Loved my stay at Maya Hostel, this place has such an awesome (social yet chilled) vibe. Room was spacious, clean & had a lovely view, breakfast super yummy & Miri & his team are so welcoming & friendly. The tours I booked with them (Osumi Canyon & an evening wine tour) were both fab! Only thing is I really didn't want to leave, would highly recommend.

The bathroom in our room needed updating a bit but otherwise no complaints.

The staff and volunteers were friendly and I had a great time hanging out with them and other travellers. The hostel is very comfortable, when I briefly was ill during my stay I felt like I was able to completely relax and get well. The breakfast was tasty and the location was perfect. Would stay again. The resident dog is also friendly but keeps to herself so the hostel is still a good place to stay for those with a fear of dogs.

The cocktailbar next door was really annoying, the music was very bad and too loud
