Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe staff were super nice and chill. Even though our taxi was two hours late and we had already checked out, they let us hang and greeted us with open arms.

United StatesInternet was a little spotty.
The room was clean. The family who runs the guesthouse was friendly and it was nice to meet local Albanians! The included breakfast was delicious and plentiful: toast with butter and homemade jam; homemade yogurt with local honey and walnuts; 2 eggs cooked to order; plate of tomatoes, cucumbers and olives, prosciutto was served one morning, and a homemade pastry. Hot tea and coffee including lattes. We liked the honey so much, we asked if we could buy a jar. We also enjoyed dinner in the restaurant both evenings. It was also good. Albany showed us a hiking trail from the parking lot and we hiked for 5 hours in the beautiful Llogara National Park. We asked and they provided a simple lunch to take hiking. Apples, bread with butter and jam, boiled eggs (these for the specific items that we asked for).

United KingdomHonestly, there wasn't much you could do to improve the place.
We loved this place. It had a lovely warm restaurant with log fire in the corner. We were made to feel very welcome. It feels quite wild and very authentic. The food (and wine) was so wholesome, homemade and delicious.

United KingdomIt was quite cold and a bit rainy when we stayed, nothing to do with the guesthouse of course, but it did impact on our enjoyment of the hiking and the views. The shower was typical of Albania and flooded the bathroom, not so great given the damp weather.
The location of the guest house within the Llogara National Park is very convenient for hikes in the area. It is a very pretty and tranquil setting, you are surrounded by nature. The communication with the host family prior to our visit was excellent. We arranged to be picked up off the bus from Himare just before the entrance to the tunnel as we wanted to travel over the Llogara Pass. This was definitely worth doing - spectacular views. Our accommodation was basic but comfortable and clean. The family were exceptionally kind and helpful. It is a real family business and the 2 sons, Alban and Daniel speak excellent English and are happy to help with anything you ask them. Breakfast is included in the price and is a great start to the day. The yoghurt, honey and walnuts are just delicious, as is the mountain tea. We stayed for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant each night. The food was simply excellent - homemade pasta, homemade wine, everything wss delicious and reasonably priced. Dishes of note include the grilled cheese and ravioli with orange and cinnamon- amazing! Our thanks to Alban and Daniel and their parents for a lovely stay and for taking us through the pass and giving us a lift to catch a bus to Vlore.

NetherlandsNothing I disliked.
A true family guesthouse. Very very friendly family. They make you feel at ease and home right away. I can really recommend it if you like a quiet cozy atmosphere. The food is great and the homemade pasta is excellent. Everything is pure and most of the things you eat are selfmade or from local farmers.

FranceThe water bottles are expensive. Small deception to not get petulas for breakfast.
Perfect starting point for hiking in Llogara national park. The room is nothing fancy but comfortable and has everything you need. Very quiet at night. The included breakfast is very convenient before going for a hike. We also had diner at the restaurant and enjoyed the home made raviolis.

Located in Llogara National Park we were greeted very friendly from the host’s son and enjoyed a cold beer at the terrace. The home made ravioli were delicious and we got great hiking recommendations. Breakfast was served in the morning, including mountain tea, fresh yoghurt, home made honey and walnuts from the woods. We definitely recommend this place because we felt very welcome and the food was amazing. Rooms are clean and you don’t need aircondition due to the fresh forest air.

IrelandNothing really to do with the accommodation but there were a lot of flies and moths in the area (probably due to the season) and many got into our room when we opened the door, thankfully we had bug spray and managed to kill them all.
Breakfast was great, bed comfortable. Great location for hiking and 20 minutes to beach. The dinner was lovely, beer tasted great. Staff were so friendly and helpful, thank you Alban.

FranceOn the downside, the internet connection in our room wasn’t the best, and our double bed was actually two singles pushed together. However, these were just minor details and didn't detract from our overall great experience.
We had an amazing stay at this location! The spot was perfect, right in front of a beautiful and quick hiking trail. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and transparent, offering great advice and assistance on everything we needed. The room was clean, and it was a nice to have soap and shampoo provided with clean towels. The breakfast was excellent—plenty of variety and quantity, definitely worth it!

GermanySome natural noises in the night, dogs and roosters, that kept us up, but that was not in control of the hosts.
The staff were the best. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the region. We even had a small medical issue and they helped us find a doctor and medicine. The location was quiet and remote and a nice refuse from the heat of the south. Meals were all delicious. Great value for money.
