Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Arab EmiratesIf you speak Russian or Armenian, you’ll enjoy Rose and her husband’s company. Our Russian-speaking friend had a great time, and we appreciated the translated conversations. I just wish they spoke English, but nobody speak much English in that place which is fair
I've traveled to many countries over the past 10 years, but few places have made me feel as welcome as Rose did at Chkalovka Guest House. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a warm smile and made sure we were comfortable, even giving us a tour of the house. Her place is perfectly situated near Sevan Lake, making it an ideal spot if you're visiting the area. The view, with apple trees surrounding the house, is simply breathtaking. Rose went above and beyond by recommending nearby restaurants and even advising us on what to order, which was super helpful when the waitress tried to push something that wasn’t something local. Our stay was nothing short of perfect—she even baked us a delicious Armenian dish in the morning. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here if you want to feel right at home.

ArmeniaYou will be Interacting with other guests. The rooms are next to each other and you are sleeping in a house with a shared living room, kitchen and shower. The other guests were friendly, but if you are an introvert, it might not be the place for you. The village is in the countryside, which also means that the standards are different from the city. This means that you might not feel comfortable dressing in the same fashion as would be accepted in the city. This has nothing to do with the cottage, but is a general advice for people travelling here (especially from Western Europe)
The property feels like a green oasis and the hostess is super welcoming and friendly! We ended up needing to leave early, so we were unable to try the hostess's prepared breakfast/dinner, however, other guests had and it looked stunning. The garden is the perfect getaway and the property is super close to the lake which was so clean it felt like a shower. The tapwater at the property was great and the beds and sheets were comfortable. It felt cozy, as if you were staying at your mother's place for the weekend and there were guests from all around the world. It's easy to get to know the other guests and with the hotel at the beach close to the property, there are also other travelers closeby to meetup. Sevan is a great little city and offers great restaurants, you need to check out!

ArmeniaThough the road leading to the property isn't the most comfortable one, but once you reach there you'll see that it's worth the effort. A very beautiful garden and overall, a stunning scenery. The breakfast is amazing; almost everything is homemade, and you can taste the authentic traditional cuisine of Armenia and the Caucasus as if you were a part of their family. Definitely recommended.

BelgiumThe guesthouse is about 8km from Sevan centre. You need to take a bus or taxi to get there. You can walk out of the village and cross the highway to reach the lake shore. Beware that the beach areas are not public so you need to pay to have a spot.
Rosa is a super host and her house is one of the loveliest in Armenia! The garden is beautiful and from our room we had Sevan lake view! Rosa's home made ricotta at breakfast was the most delicious ever! We shared the common space upstairs with two other rooms and enjoyed to drink tea together. The village is small and quiet. Ideal if you want a few days of rest away from the summer crowds :)

SpainA really quite and chill place near a clean beach on Lake Sevan. The property was really big and nice, they have places to chill in the garden! The living room area is comunal but is really comfortable, if you are lucky and there aren’t any other guests it’s like having your own apartment. We asked for breakfast and it was amazing, everything handmade and from their garden! They are also very warm and welcoming a great place to stay!

Czech RepublicI really liked this B&B. The house and rooms are super nice, quiet, clean, all so well equipped. Wifi works great too. On top of everything, the owners are so nice- really take care of their guests. Not only are they friendly and love to talk to you, but they cook so well. I I even forgot a stylus at the house and they promissed to mail it to my country. One of the best B&B i have experienced in Armenia.

FranceA darker curtain would prevent daylight from entering the bedroom at 6am. That is my only point.
All has already been written and I confirm everything : fantastic place, fantastic people, fantastic food (stay there for diner, there's absolutely nothing worthy around).

SpainWe had a perfect stay.
This place is a little heaven. We had such a relaxing time, chilling in the hammock under the garden’s apple trees, eating Rosane’s delicious food, having a walk around the nearby lake and sleeping very comfortably in our bedrooms. The owners are also extremely kind and welcoming. Highly recommended.

PolandThe village itself is not very interesting, but it is close to the lake, so it rewards that.
The hosts are really increadible, they welcome you with tea, coffe and sweets, in the morning they can offer you traditional breakfast made with home made products and in general they treat you like family. The owner used to be a taxi driver and he can give you a lift somewhere or organise a short trip. Its very clean.
