Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The owner is so kind and goes out of his way to make your stay great! He even woke up at 3:00 am to help book me a taxi to the airport, and checked that I was awake in time. The location is perfect. Maybe a 10 minute walk to Republic Square, and in a very safe area. I would absolutely stay again!

It is very difficult to find the hostel if you arrive at night.
The location, the guy at the reception was very friendly and helped me. The price is good. I took a private room and it was fine.

The hotel was cozy, very clean, close to everything and all the recepcionists were marvelous, helpful, and very friendly.

The only downside was that there was no laundry and nothing affordable nearby. I managed with some things in the shower, and the fan in the run dried them quickly.
Very comfortable place to stay. Nice people. The kitchen is convenient. In my opinion, there is no better location to stay in Yerevan.

Other guests make noise during sleeping time.
Room with the private bathroom in the best. It is a very small hotel and not a hostel. There is a small kitchen. Location is very good, very central, near the main tourist attraction.

No window in the room but for me it was a plus for a better rest
Didn't expect that level from a hostel. Stayed only for several hours before my flight, but enjoyed. The staff is super helpful and welcoming, the room is nice well cleaned, and has amenities. Thank you for the apricots! :)

Although I was already aware of it, being in an accommodation without any windows (undergrounds) is really uncomfortable and certainly not the safest place to be.
The location is great and the staff quite helpful and supportive.

The room did not have window and some noise was coming from a kind of ventilator.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. They offered me some tea. water bottle, chocolates for free. The hostel position is just the best to visit Yerevan on foot. Near everything. Beautiful park, supermarket and restaurants few meters away. Room was big and clean. Wifi was working fine.

The rooms are very comfortable, clean and tidy and the receptionist is very hospitable. The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to Republic Square and the main attractions of the city are within walking distance.

Room no. 7 is a bit warm despite it being winter. Weird I know, but, that room has its own toilet. There is a weird smell also but good thing there is a ventilation fan that you can turn on. All of the rooms are in the basement so if you're looking for windows, you have been warned. This is for adventurous flashpackers.
Proximity to the Republic Square, it is also within walking distance to Opera House, Cascade Complex, Mashtots Avenue (where the airport buses, local buses to Etchmiadzin pass through). Room no. 2 is really cold, clean and comfortable. I slept well. It is not a noisy party hostel.

Super cost-efficient for a room at the downtown of Yerevan. Underground is even a benefit if you’re very sensitive to the sunlight. The staff is very nice. Would recommend to every traveler.
