Our stay was slightly disrupted due to unexpected problems with the hot water; however Irena and her team worked quickly to resolve the issue. And we were still able to use hot water in one of the bathrooms.

The room was cozy, comfortable, and full of character. Our host Irena was kind and accommodating, and gave our family a room upgrade free of charge. The home cooked meals were super tasty and an excellent value add-on. Our children enjoyed their room and visiting with the friendly cats. And the sound of the rushing Debed river was the perfect white noise to put us to sleep after a long day on the road.

The guesthouse owner takes great care to make sure guests are warm and comfortable. She also helps with any travel you are doing. You can even contact her and let her know which minibus you are taking to the town nearby and ask her to call the driver to tell him to let you out at the guesthouse. The house is a lovely old place, like grandma's house. There are nice views of the canon from it and you will sleep peacefully to the sound of the river below.

We found everything about Iris B&B exceptional, our host Irina was very helpful, and the food she cooked for us the best we have ever had at a B&B. The location is ideal for visiting the many attractions in the area, and as cat lovers the friendly outdoor cats around the property were a bonus. We have many fond memories of our stay here.

A little difficult to plug in UK convertors to old plugs in walls but this just added to olde world charm.

Such a beautiful spot with fantastic views across the gorge. Our studio was very cosy and we slept like tops. We had a lovely home cooked meal for dinner and breakfast was so fresh with home made jams and dairy products. Irina is a fascinating and attentive host. Everything great value and nothing was too much trouble. One of our very best stays in Armenia.

A fairly long walk from the hostel to centre of Alaverdi but there was a bus option too.

A unique hostel with a lot of character and friendly staff. Irina, the owner was very helpful in providing great suggestions for day trips. The breakfast and dinner was tasty and wholesome. I even got a free upgrade from my domitory bed as it was needed to accomodate another group. I would stay here again.

If you plan to stay at Debed canyon, do not search anything else, than Iris B&B. Irina is a fantastic host, we enjoyed a lot the talks during dinner and breakfast. The foods were great, it's a pity we could stay only one nigth. Definitely recommended, hope to come back once.

Iris is absolutely lovely!! When I arrived she made me some herbal tea. If you contact her on WhatsApp she’ll help you arrive to the property by public transport and even come pick you up if needed! She also arranged my bus to Yerevan the next day and they picked me up right at her house. The cost was only 2000 dram. There’s also a great little hiking trail right from her house that goes to Sedvi Monastary. Breakfast was huge and delicious. Loved staying here!

We loved our stay at Iris B&B and it was probably the best we stayed at in Armenia! The location is amazing, with a beautiful view of the mountains and the river. Irina and Marina are such lovely ladies, so hospitable. We were offered coffee upon arrival, Irena had nice suggestions about what to see around the area and Marina helped me while I was preparing dinner and gave me advice on how to make asparagus in the best way possible :)) The breakfast was amazing, the cheeses that Irena prepares herself are the best we tasted on our trip, very yummy homemade jams and pancakes. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and clean. We would stay here again and recommend it to our friends. Thank you, Irina and Marina!

Irina and Marine made my stay comfortable and very, very pleasant. It felt more like staying at a friend's house than at a b&b. I was alone, and whenever Irina had a moment to share, she would stop for a chat. She even took me on a drive to show me around her town. Irina also found transportation for me so I could explore the Canyon and move to my next destination. If you add to all this a pleasant room from which you could hear the river and two nice dinner, you have a really lovely sojourn.

A brilliant host who set up a beautiful breakfast spread on Easter Sunday for us all. She has created a lovely B&B with great facilities and a very comfortable room. Our room was upgraded before we arrived as there was a better room available. She also helped us out when we got a puncture by finding a local mechanic for us, and kindly provided a very early breakfast for the morning we left. Overall a brilliant stay and a host who goes above and beyond to ensure her guests have the best experience.

What a wonderful place that is! Iris (Irina) and Marineh welcomed us warmly, cooked a delicious Armenian dinner and spent time with us. Definitely more than a simple BnB! Best option to visit Alaverdi and the Debed region.
