Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe big negative is the shower. It is too small and does work properly.
Breakfast exceed expectations and can be taken earlier. Staff was very helpful and communicate well in English. It also runs a door to door shuttle from El Calafate and guests get discount price.

JapanWe arrived late and couldn’t get internet during the 2.5hrs drive from airport. It was the great relief to see a staff welcomed us at the reception. This is simple hotel but compared to elsewhere we stayed in Patagonia, the bed and the breakfast was the best!

SloveniaSmall shower and a broken window in the room. ( room was colder because of that )
We really liked the receptionist woman. She was very nice and she gave us the most quiet room in the house because we stayed for 5 days. They all really try hard for guests to be happy. Breakfast is also amazing. Everything is very clean and organized. The rooms are big and comfortable except bathroom is small and needs a little renovation..

IrelandThe only thing that we didn't really like was the size of the shower, it was far too small and difficult to operate which meant there was often water on the bathroom floor.
The room was spacious and had a big double bed which we loved and slept great on. The breakfast was really good with a variety of options including fresh scrambled eggs, great way to set up for a long day of hiking. In comparison to the rest of the accomodation in El Chaltén, Don Atilio is relatively good value!

IsraelThe place is not properly maintained. The shower in the room is extremely small and unpleasant. The facilities both in the shower and in the room are inappropriate, they are almost falling apart.

ItalyThe bathroom and shower are a bit small
The room is clean, we stayed just 2 nights and they changed everything. The bathroom is a bit old and small, but has everything you need and more: hot water, hairdryer, soap, shampoo and conditioner. There is fresh water to drink and teas available with hot water. There's a microwave and you can eat your own food. The wi fi works well and the price is fair. The staff is very kind. There is a transfer service to El Calafate for 35k pesos. Last but not least: the breakfast, buffet-style, is absolutely gargantuan with home-made cakes, bread, corn flakes, milk, juices, eggs, coffee and much more. We also appreciate the comfortable mattress and the fact that they reuse old towels as bath mats: clever and sustainable. We'd choose it again and again!

United StatesOur room could have used some love and care (broken lampshade), and some furniture to put our stuff. The bathroom was very small and it was hard to shower without inundating the whole bathroom. Our room was downstairs and its windows overlooked a wall. The walls were quite thin and one night we could hear the lively conversations going on in the lobby until late night, even though our room was located at the far end the corridor. People were passing by our room speaking loudly up until 4am, waking us up every time. I needed earplugs to sleep. The next night the hostel was silent and we slept well.
Ideally located near the trailheads (Chorillo de Salto, Laguna de los Tres), and to good restaurants and bars. The hosteria was impeccably clean, breakfast was very good (fresh omelette, breads, butter, yoghurts, fruit salad, coffee, tea, juices), and the common areas have fridge, microwave and coffee and tea for use throughout the day. Tbh e room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hosteria has transport options to trailheads and other destinations. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

ItalyWe got wet while trekking in the snow, there was no place to dry things and in the room was hard to hang things as there were no wardrobes or furniture. Walls are thin and can be noisy for early sleepers.
Comfy bed, good position close to Fitz Roy trail. Breakfast was amazing, by far the best I've had in Patagonia. Windowed bathroom with bidet.
