Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Slovakiavery dark rooms after sunset - there wasn´t any ceiling light so packing in the dim light of bedside lamps was a tough task - the water in the bathtub did not drain
Perfect location - metro & tram stop close to the hotel, 10 minutes to get to the city center by metro, very friendly staff, receptionist was very helpful and arranged a plant based milk only for us for breakfast, standard & tasty breakfast even though not worthy that price if you are a vegan, calm room - ask for the one with the garden view, overall a nice experience for a weekend trip

HungaryThe tram passing by is loud and a little disturbing with the window open. It would have been nice to have a closet or some other storage in the room where things could have been more conveniently packed.
The hotel and the room were basically good. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful and varied. The center is easily accessible by tram number D, but also by a pleasant walk.

United KingdomOverall needs a facelift as it’s not in great shape in some areas. Recent refurbs are cosmetic and made it much nicer but it needs something more substantial. Mattress and A/C were so-so, so didn’t sleep very well the first night. No full length mirror anywhere in the room which would be such an easy fix given how much space is available. Also no kettle or tea cups in the room although they can provide this if you ask. Immediate surroundings not particularly attractive or exciting but very quick to get anywhere.
Location is good with the D tram line just outside taking you to most major places in town directly within 20mins. Breakfast is nothing special but really great value facilities were good value and overall clean.

RomaniaThe rooms give an old air, from the furniture and the walls to the doors, but the cleanliness is very on point so there was no problem with that. Also, a drawer or something that you can put your luggage on could have helped a lot in the room.
My stay at Calmo was awesome. Great personnel, always keen to help and make your stay as good as possible. A great fact it's that the hotel is near the city so you can go there with the Tram. Personally, I used the metro (Spittelau station is at 7-8 mins of walking and there are two lines (U4 and U6) that go all the way throughout the city). You can also take from the recepttion a city guide flyer with metro map that will help you a lot, or, just ask the employees since they will help you right away. + The breakfast had everything you need, from the famous bacon and scrambled eggs, all the way to cheesecake and mango juice, and it was all very tasty.

ItalyOur room had a persistent smell of smoke, presumably coming from the toilet ventilator column. This heavily impacted all our dresses. I would call it a significant discomfort especially if (like us) one is not a smoker. we had to pay an extra for our dog, a detail that was not explicitly highlighted BEFORE the booking of the room (it stated "animal admitted"). Parking service was not included in the price, and it was quite expensive. luckily the kind staff has directed us to a nearby solution in the area.

PolandThe hotel is fine, but the floor we stayed on could use a refresh - the hotel is already in need of renovation. The bathrooms are clean but quite old. Generally clean, there is air conditioning in the rooms, very kind lady at the reception, helpful and to the point. The breakfast was adequate, but not amazing. Good coffee a plus. WIPARK car park close to the hotel - great price for Vienna - only 6 € per day. The hotel is very well connected - two metro stations nearby. And right next to the hotel there is a tram stop - access to the very center of Vienna. There are also decent restaurants close to the hotel - good food at moderate prices. In general, I recommend it if you want to visit Vienna.

United KingdomI suppose you could say the room furniture was pretty basic but that wasn't an issue at all. No plug for the bath, but I don't take baths anyway so it didn't matter to me.
The staff were amazing. Very helpful. The bed was super comfy. About a 5 minute walk from the Spittelau Metro. The shower was incredibly powerful and the temperature stayed exactly where you put it. I had to leave at 2am and the staff made sure I had a taxi waiting for me. They even lent me their only USB phone charger when mine broke. Can't fault them.

CanadaWould have liked the air conditioning unit to be within the room rather than in the corridor so the cold air took time to reach the room and did not ventilate it as well as it could have.
The employees were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Nice big room which was clean. Appreciated the complimentary bottle of water in the room!

RussiaI didn’t like the condition of the bathroom, it’s already pretty tired. The owners of the hotel must consider some refurbishment being done. Also, there is no mirror in the room!! which was a great disappointment. One more thing I didn’t like point: the lights in the room are very dim. I really hate it. I realize that it saves energy, but it was really problematic to find anything in the room in the evening (almost complete darkness)
The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. The room was cleaned every day, and the towels were also changed every day, including the weekends. It’s not that common these days! The air conditioning system is pretty modern, well-functioning, and doesn’t make a lot of noise. The tram station is only 1 minute walk from the hotel. And finally, the breakfast was very delicious.
