This was a special trip for me, and I’m so glad I chose this hotel. I arrived early in the morning, and the staff were incredibly helpful, arranging an early check-in to a lovely Superior Room with a small balcony and a great view. The room was beautiful and spotless, and the location couldn’t be better—everything was within walking distance, so I never needed transportation.

The young man at the reception desk was an amazing help for us. He chose and booked a restaurant for a birthday dinner that turned out to be just perfect. Very helpful as well with directions to different sites in the city. The breakfast included gluten-free options and gluten-free bread, which was important for us.

In front of the hotel windows there is a casino, which does not allow for a peaceful sleep until 3-4 a.m. Unfortunately, the casino has a terrace in the center of the hotel windows, and guests who go out for a cigarette shout and do not let you sleep. I got the impression that the hotel treats this as a normal everyday thing, I did not see any police and I am not aware of it being reported anywhere and the disturbance is daily, so it is a big problem, so I do not believe, that hotel is not aware of this. if you are planning to rest, you have come to the wrong place.

Very good breakfasts. Large selection, good cold cuts, cheeses, you can order eggs prepared however you want, there are vegetables, fruits and cakes. Really delicious and plenty. The service is nice, although it is a bit strange that being in Austria they do not speak German to each other but in their native languages, so you do not know if they are talking about you. The rooms are clean, although I had bad feeling about the very hard and beaten towels, which gave the impression of being very old and worn. The hotel encourages you to use the extra charges for late check-out, but when I wanted to use it (to stay till 3pm instead of midday), I received information that it is not possible for my room and that I should change the room to a better one, only the question is why they are sending me a message to use something that is not available to me. Generally, the hotel is very decent but not ideal either.

My stay at Astoria Hotel was spectacular. The hotel's elegant design combined with its high-end amenities made for a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. Maybe a bath robe in a room would be nice. Still it’s a bit noisy in a room early morning when the cleaning is hold somewhere in the corridor I guess ? You could hear a lot of noises, like vacuum cleaning and doors being closed / opened a lot. Also missed an apple strudel at the breakfast.

Freshy renovated with a good design, neat clean. Room is spacious enough, quite quiet inside. Location is good. Personnel is friendly and helpful. Option to skip cleaning is a nice thing to mark upon arrival.

Bath instead of shower & the shower screen had gaps leaving a soaked bathroom floor. Breakfast was ok, I expected more choice, we came from a hotel Bratislava which offered double the choice. The option to mirror phone on to TV didn’t work … shame they don’t just have an option to watch apps via login. In giving the negatives I would stay again
