Rooms were not the cleanest, talking could be heard from the room next door.

The property promised a check-in at 2pm but even at 4:30pm the room was not ready. There was no soap in the room. The front desk was not very accessible.

The area is very nice. It is a quick drive to the well known lakes of Attersee and Traunsee. It is in the center of a very cute city.

My friend got room that smelled badly, it was probably faulty plumbing. English was barrier there, but overall it was doable.

We got two rooms instead of one with two beds, that was upgrade. Mine room was fine, tiny but fine, clean. Breakfast was amazing and night receptionist was a cool guy that spoke English better than all the staff there.

The whole room smelled like toilet, the door to the restroom was just a piece of glass, it didn't even slide properly.

Unfortunately, the building is so old and you can not expect much. the bathroom was blocked. the fridge did not work. we got 2 rooms one double and one triple, the triple room only had 2 beds and they added one of these mobile beds, which we complained and they gave us a proper bed. plus for the problem of the bathroom and the broken fridge, I asked them for a refund of our money and they return 20 percent back.

The location was good and the restaurant vibes was so nice with all the historical and interesting decoration. The staff were helpful and provided what we asked for

Personnel - not sure, I was charged on my card, even though I paid in full on booking com! They returned it in cash after I complained, but still was not a nice experience. We did not like the room at all. like - NOTHING in it. Except for cleanliness - that one was OK. The tiny space with an extra bed (we paid for 3 people room and it appeared to be almost double the cost of what our friends paid for EXACTLY the same horrible attic room, but for 2 people). The pictures showed a totally different room type when I booked it. The room had nothing to do with the pictures of it on booking com. We got two attic rooms - very small, ugly and stuffy. I saw other rooms' doors open, and they were as advertised, from the first sight, but not ours. Not a value for money. The corridors, especially the entrance and elevator zone were kind of creepy, and the whole logic of the hotel was a bit confusing. we were told we could use the swimming pool, but once we finally found it (after 30' wondering outside of the hotel, in front of villas down the street) it appeared to be closed, tiny and overall odd. Not recommended.

Location is OK once you have a car - 15 minutes' ride to a beautiful beach.

Only staying one night we can't say we were disappointed with anything.

Breakfast was nice, freshly made bacon and eggs. Our stay was only short, perfect for a one night stop over. We had an evening meal food was excellent.

The wifi was insecure - not good in 2023. The location was good at the front of the hotel (main square) but crappy at the back (dirty, unpleasant and quiet side road) especially around the car park. The hotel is huge, sprawling and difficult to navigate, as it occupies numerous town centre building which are adjacent and which seem to go off in all directions. When I arrived the corridors to access the bedroom floors stank of fresh tobacco smoke.

I liked the room, more or less - although the decor was dated and the facilities pretty old fashioned, the bed was pretty comfy, the room was clean and the shower was warm. Breakfast was okay but very limited for a vegan: bread rolls with jam (no margarine available) and black tea, no plant milk.

This hotel is not called Stadthotel, it has a completely different name Auerhahn hotel there is no Stadthotel in the name at all, the confirmation is Stadthotel Restaurant, so you drive up and down looking for it. There are so many hotels in vacinity with Auerhahn in name ended up going into one to ask and that was how we found it. Then looking for the carpark was a headache also. The Manager or who ever he was, was sitting with a group of guys in front of reception drinking and having what looked like a boys night. He rushed checkin us in so he could go back and join them, no apology for the inconvenience caused or even care quite rude. Walking through the hotel and in the room was a horid what I can only describe as old smell. Will never go back.

The ONLY small thing that was ok with this hotel was the quaint high street it was located on. The Chef also came outside to show us where the carpark was after trying to find it for more then 30 mins.

Rooms need renovation as soon as possible. Hotel parking is crowded in the evening - needs expansion (but it is possible to park on the street for free until 10am).

Perfect location at the main square full of restaurants and cafes. Only 15 minutes drive to the lake. EV charging station 50m from the hotel (at the square). Staff is really accommodating and polite.

A staff was knocking on our door in very early morning, then she tried to open... we were locked, but I opened and she just asked if we are staying or leaving today. That was really weird.

Street is very noisy. We were woken up at 5 am by unloading truck. Theres no A/C and the room was very hot (July).

Despite the room I booked being listed as having air-conditioning it did not, and due to the weather my room was terribly warm even with a window open. I found hairs from previous guests in the bathroom and there was some stuff left in the toilet from previous guests. The shower was pretty gross and the drain had a clump of hair from previous guests. The tap handle was chipped and should be fixed as it was becoming quite unsightly. The walls could also use a clean. The walls are also quite thin so I had to listen to the neighbour watching TV and clearing phlegm often late at night. Also when people nearby flushed their toilet it would go through my bathroom which was quite loud. As mentioned my travel partners had a nicer room across the road which is run by the same place so it is a bit hit and miss. Though my experience wasn't great they do have some good options, it just seems to be up to luck what you get.

The sleeping area was ok, and the hotel does have some nice rooms (the people I travelled with had a nice suite). Check out was an easy process and staff nice. Convenient location. There was a mini bar fridge in the room, a TV, and access to WiFi. I ended up only staying 1 night out of 3 due to personal reasons but was excited to be going home.

We wanted check in at 10 pm. Check-in at the hotel is until midnight. The receptionist told us there was no place for us (even though we had paid in advance). We mentioned an approximate arrival time of 6pm when booking, however we arrived at 10pm. Nobody contacted us. The receptionist said there was no room for us (the room we booked and paid is occupied), also said there was no room for us in the entire hotel. After talking to the manager, they offered us 3 beds to sleep. We were four people traveling, so one person slept on the floor.

Very good location in the city center, close to beautiful lakes. Unusual interesting interior design, lots of stairs and carpets. The hotel has a very nice restaurant.

The room was not properly cleaned, footprints were visible all around the floor which was also sticky.
