Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

although it’s nice to be futuristic with the QR codes to unlock doors but sometimes you get caught out if you don’t bring you phone to the toilet or shower. There are no staff which although convenient on check it you can’t ask any questions or get help if you are locked out
Room was cosy and the kitchen/communal area was great and inviting, close to an underground station taking you into the city or anywhere you want to be

No accessibility. The luggage storage doesn't have locks, you can leave there your luggage at your risk. Also it's in the basement, so if your staff is heavy, it's very uncomfortable to go down by stairs.
Very cozy and clean space, perfect self-service system, not far away from the city center, good interior design. Good price.

As for the cons, you had to take your phone with you everywhere (to the bathroom, to the kitchen) because this was the only way to get back to the room (you need the QR code to open the door).
I am satisfied with the choice of the hostel. There were plenty of bathrooms and toilets so there was no wait. It was clean. The location of the hostel close to the metro station is a big plus.

The smell in the bathroom was quite bad but the bathroom itself was clean. The were some kitchen amenities lacking, like kitchen towels, paper and maybe some basic spices, like pepper, salt and cooking oil.
It was tidy and comfortable. Luggage room was a huge and accessible after check-out. As were other spaces like kitchen.

No basic ingredients like salt, pepper etc in the kitchen. It ks common beyond hostels to have such supplies.

I had some trouble locking the room and bed capsule
Location of the hostel is great, it's close to the Ü6, easy to find, comfy beds, it's great that you have some privacy even in shared bedrooms

Some of the other guests didn't clean what they used in the kitchen and in the fridge there was something old dated. In addition some of the guest drank the stuff we put in it.
The hostel is located 5 minutes away from the underground stop and you can reach the city center in 10-15 minutes. The bathrooms were cleaned everyday and they are quite modern and well kept as well. The bed comes with a towel and some bedsheets, we found the bedroom very clean.

The single rooms are very small. Even without fan, you can have suffocation problem.

Complicated way to check in, a lot of instructions, I prefer a standard way to do it, using the key. Necessary to hold a smartphone in the pocket every time, even on way to the toilet was irritating (the OR code in a mobile phone was a key to the room).

shared room was very small and veery warm, we had to lock our stuff on the bed cause the "locker" was in the basement so we would have to go down the stairs all the time and climb up again, besides the fact that we had strugles with qrcode.
kitchen is spacious and many showers and bathrooms available.

Some rooms were hard to open therfore everyone who was walking back and forth had to kick it to get it open
Very private with the closing bed door. The system for checking in and opening doors is super convenient nd easy to use.

the sheet did not fit the mattress do that was a bit uncomfortable because it moved and then I was touching the mattress with my feet. it did not smell very nice in the stairwell area.

For the price, I would expect that the bed were already made and the linen to be better quality. Storage room should have lockers with keys.
Online check in is convenient. Very clean. Good vibe and decoration. Nice kitchen and commom area. Good sound isolation. Everything is new and works properly.

Sanitary condition in washrooms is a bit unacceptable. Always filled with water on the ground. We met a naked man with only underpants in the corridor as we arrived which was quite a shock...
