We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandThe app did not always work and there was a problem opening the door. Shelves by the bed and in the shower would have been useful.
Location - close to train station, trams and buses and to places I needed to visit during my stay

RomaniaThere was a TV in the kitchen, but there was no signal, even if I let the property know, they told that will fix it but never solved till the end of the stay. Other guests ate my food from the fridge. The room was very small and has a window very up and you could not open it. The linen was not put on the bed. You should have put it. The process of check-in was too long and complicated and took more than 40 minutes to receive the QR code after 3 PM to be able to enter in the room.

GermanyIt ia a hostel, but for a price of 75 euros the night i would say that the facilities are not good. Perhaps for a 20 euros the night would be ok, but for 75 euros I think it's not price worth it.
The location.

United KingdomThe stay didn't start of to a good start. After using their site to check-in, the QR code I was meant to use to enter did not work properly. I initially walked to their partner hostel a couple minutes away but their front-door was locked, with no signs of a door bell anywhere to enter. Thus, I had to call their emergency contact number. The staff on the other line was helpful but the front door would still not open after several tries. I had to wait over 20 minutes for an actual person to help me enter the front door (after the call)! Apparently, the QR code was not being read properly since my screen was not bright enough (even though it was at 100% brightness)! So, if you have some special screen protector on your phone ie. privacy screens, etc, then good luck with using their QR code keys. This QR code key problem would remain until I checked out. You would need to try scanning the QR code several times before it would work (even the printed version they gave had this same problem, so it was not just my phone). This can get very problematic, annoying and frustrating when you need the QR code for everything - from entering the front door, getting into your room, opening your pod/bed/capsule to locking it. The bed in itself was not the most comfortable. There was nowhere for you to store your luggage so you needed to sleep with if you did not want to leave it outside your bed. It felt very claustrophobic. The bathrooms were not bad, relatively clean. However, no hand paper towels were provided (to dry your hand). There was only one hand dryer for all the bathrooms, not a big problem but an extra note.
The kitchen was probably the only saving grace of this hostel, as it was spacious and clean. The rooms were relatively clean (but you needed to do your own sheets, which was not the easiest due to the design of the bed). Aside from that, everything else were disappointments, frustration and everything else in between.

UkraineNoice insulation at 0. when I lived there all night, someone was shouting, laughing and also going to the kitchen (the door was knocking). If you are vacationing with children, this is definitely not for you. Plus the shower is shared and in the morning everything looks bad because of the large number of people.
Not far from the subway, everything is automated, there is a code for all the doors. clean and cozy

TurkeyUnfortunately, we were disappointed to smell food from the kitchen to the upstairs. It was irritating. Although toilets seem clean and bins are emptied regularly, an odour was spreading around.
I especially like how we could easily communicate with the hostel administration staff and carry out check-in & out procedures quickly. They helped keep the luggage without any costs. The Wi-Fi connection was good, and the hostel's location was perfect.

BelgiumThe idea of digitalising everything, using QR codes for all doors, beds and closets might be cool and novel, but it just doesn't work. It literally doesn't when the system is down, which was the case during my stay. I only had access to my room 5,5 hours after checking in. Scanning the codes can be frustrating and fidgety overall. Forget this place if you don't have a smartphone, or when it's out of battery. There was no atmosphere whatsoever, as it lacked any human touch. The beds are semi-see-through capsules - while either entirely open or entirely closed would be the better option. Avoid, avoid, avoid this place. There are better options in the city for around the same price that don't feel like an empty shell of a hostel.
It was clean.

United KingdomNot that I didn't like, but access to the main building and to your room was by using your phone and a QR code. With travelling and exploring from early in the day to about 10pm on each day and with extortionate UK mobile phone international/European roaming connection calls, we were worried that we would not have enough charge left to show our retained QR code to access points and certainly no WIFI. I would advise a solar powered mobile phone charger (you can buy from amazon) if, like me, you use your phone for taking treasured memory photos of your adventure( a lot of them!!)and utilise free WiFi to plan your next daily adventure, a really useful piece of kit. However, at this hostel, if there was a problem, you could go to a local Inn around the corner to gain access to BeFree hostel!😊 we did not use this service. There was no reception at Be Free hostel.Very responsive, helpful communication with the hostel on booking.com, and it was great we communicated our technical issues from the previous hostel we stayed at to check if we could access the building. Check in emails were sent in good time to prepare to get in our stay for 3 nights . A small wall mirror in the room would have been good, but not essential! In this day and age, a port for each person next to their beds in the room they are staying to charge their phone would be great..There were 2 sockets available. Note to users of kitchen facilities, it clearly reads, leave as you find and wash items used. It doesn't say,'I will leave my pots plates and cups for someone else to do!' Believe me, it is far easier to clean them after use, but then again not as easy as walking away from the sink and leaving your dirty dishes and being inconsiderate!!!!! Yeah, yeah, I'm a 56 year old adventurer, but be kind and considerate to others wherever you stay.
Great. Bright hostel. Everything was exceptionally clean and toilet paper was always available in the 'pipi room' Our room was a twin room.Beds are extremely comfortable, pillows good and there is a desk, stool, bin and wardrobe and shelf for use. Good window blinds were excellent and provided a dark room for quality sleep. Location excellent to access a local shop or the underground 7 minute walk from the hostel. The street was quiet, which helped for get a great sleep too! We were in room 18, there seemed to be about 20 odd rooms with variable occupants due to bed room setting .We found on our floor for ease 4 Pipi rooms(toilet & basin only) and 4 bathrooms(shower) We travelled in April, not a really busy time, but summer time when schools/colleges/ universities are out, I would imagine lots of travellers and a juggle on timing it right to get in the toilets/showers, especially and understandably the hostel applies a post 10pm respect other guest rule! There was no mirror in your room, however there was a large mirror to the end of the corridor before the steps down leading to the exit and a 'salon station' with a stool, bench, hairdryer(a good one, I may add!) and a mirror. Further steps downstairs took you to the kitchen area, communal common meeting area, and bar football game.Various bench seating and cushions, and there was a breakfast bar for use when eating your own prepared food. The kitchen area was an OK space with good facilities and pots, ceramics and cooking utensils.Although we didnt use this area, lots of travellers were! The cleaning lady in my eyes on our stay needed a 🏅 She cleaned, replenished washed etc Some Guests however perhaps need to read the very clear signs dotted around in the hostel expectations Although in English, maybe a QR code with expectations in various languages would be good or a laminated sheet in each room to set out expectations.

Ukraine- most complicated check-in and check-out in my life. - extra small room. Closed space for each guest in a dormitory. - toilets and showers outside your room. I walked about 10 meters from room to a bathroom each time. You will need a bag for your toiletries to carry them and your towell every time there and back... - the light closes itself every 3 minutes. If you take shower, get out to activate a light or stand up from your toilet... inconvienient very much. - you get a set of beddings, not ironed and SMALLER SIZE, THAN YOUR BED.
If to be very optimistic, the best about this place is: you will really go for sightseeng, to not spend here your time. If you like nightlife and creativity of very young people, you will probably enjoy a style. Very bright. You may cook at the kitchen.

AustraliaQR Code door key didn't work for any of the doors, ended up having to get someone to come over at midnight to let us in when we got there. Good idea but not the best system. Sound proofing could be better. We weren't directly next to the front door but you could hear every person that came in.

Germany- the sheets for the bed do not cover it, which means that we had to sleep directly in it - it was LOUD!!!! And nobody of the staff was there / cared. We were placed right opposite to the bath rooms (travelling with little kids???), and every 10 Min someone used the hand dryer (NOISY!!). - the check-in did not work, but only one person of the staff seemed to care. The rest (and there were many) was standing there, not caring.
