Noise carries a bit - but that was a mere minor observation throughout our stay (which included a Friday night)!

Central location; good communication (very quick replies!) with the owner (digital - per mail and text/phone); DIY works perfectly. Housed in an old house in the center of town, the inside is very modern and tastefully furnished. Excellent shower & attentive cleaning staff!

Only a ridiculously tiny detail: the metal looking grey tiles at the head of the bed and in the shower (yes they are the same) are a bad choice in our opinion and bring cold industrial flair in a beautiful room that otherwise shows comfy and warm details like the old timber of the historic building and the pretty double windows where the interior window is new and sound proof and on the outside is still the original wooden window (as far as we could tell).

Old historic beautifully renovated building in the very center of Feldkirch with no cars around cause in the middle of a large pedestrian zone. Kids can run around freely outside. Nice uncomplicated self checkin. For questions there was a bell on the door that we could ring where we got an immediate friendly reply. We will be back (as we have family in Feldkirch).

Self check-in is a bit cumbersome with the app, took me 15-20 minutes and I am used to do that. Not great when your daughter is very tired. There is absolutely no staff in the night to help with anything, only a call center that is not even in the city. My charger cable was broken and I needed to replace it. There wasn't any available in this hotel in their emergency stuff drawer (but there were tons of extra slippers for some reason...) So the agent on the phone was unable to help at all, even when I suggested her to try to call a taxi service or another hotel in the city to get a cable. Eventually the first taxi driver I called brought me a cable in 15 minutes for 20 EUR. But you expect such emergency service to be done by a hotel with a 24-hour reception (even if remote only). This is not an apartment. Hence, my stay was not 10 star, which normally would have been..

The Blaue Rose is a high-quality, moderately priced hotel in the heart of the Alps. It is also brand new and run by a gentleman I have never met who showed me more care as a guest than I have received at 99 percent of the hotels I have booked in Europe over the past 45 years. The room perfectly fit my needs. The bed was comfortable, the bedding crisp, the shower, brand new, the silence outside was welcome (zero traffic noise), Feldkirch train station is within walking walking distance, and the path led through an idyllic Austrian mountain town, The design of the room was superior to the trendy and expensive boutique hotels I've stayed in in Manhattan, Berlin, and other cities. One judges the caring attitude of a hotel and its ownership and staff when things go wrong. I was very tired when I arrived and initially had a difficult time with the outsourced self-check in system and reported the issue. The hotel owner was so concerned with my problem that he thanked me for my comments, apologized profusely, and immediately upgraded the entire system to prevent future guests, including myself, from having to deal with similar issues. I visited Blaue Rose as an overnight before attending a meeting in Davos. I was happy to have had a place of serenity and a good night's sleep before dealing with the World Forum crowd. I will make a habit of visiting the Blaue Rose as a stop over between Vienna and Zug, Zurich, and other towns and cities of Switzerland.
