Hotel staff are very friendly. Buffet selection was limited but tasty. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The balcony is a good place to have a hot drink as you look over the lake. We were told the hotel is over 700 years old and it looks old but great. Good location. Would stay again.

It is such a unique experience. The staff is super lovely and our stay was perfect. The view is insanely beautiful and we're sure this is the best place to stay in Hallstatt. It is worth the special location and experience. Gladly again.

Ancient building means that there are only stairs with no elevator, low water pressure etc. Center of Hallstatt is closed for private vehicles, so a 15 minutes walk or a shuttle from the parking space (P1) is necessary. Nothing to do about it, and still worth the location - but have to be taken into consideration.

Ancient beautiful building in the center of the center of Hallstatt, great location! Lake view from the window. Staff is very kind and helpful, and the atmosphere is really calm. Good value for money!

The hotel and room floor make noise when stepped on, nothing really meaningful.

Lovely place owned by a lovely family, amazing view and great very old rooms. We felt at home and were welcomed with a smile. Recommended! Location is very good.

Some downsides to an old building unavoidable, such as no lift for luggage. Easier to reach by ferry, but still 10min walk from bus station. Easier to stay closer to bus station if you have a lot of luggage.

Very old character building. Balcony with amazing view of the lake. Good bathroom and water pressure despite very old building. Good breakfast and have toilet for use after checkout.

when i wait the shuttle bus to go to the parking lot, driver said wait there,and he will come back and he didn't come back. i complained the reception, she said driver said i don't want to take the shuttle bus. but it was not true. because shuttle bus was full of people, and driver just lied like that. and nobody didn't responsibility. and we wait there 40 min.

Beautiful historical hotel in the centre of the village, including creaky boards and old furniture. Everything is clean though, great views on the lake and the rooms are cosy. Breakfast was basic but good

Location is great you can drink your coffee or wine while watching the lake.The hotel is at the center of Hallstatt so it is easy to walk whereever you want.Room is fantastic with old and antique furnitures.Breakfast is so nice and chic

Our only thought was that the coffee and tea that is available 24hrs. is unfortunately instant and on the second level reception area. While we knew clearly that navigating the steep narrow stairs of this historical building would be a challenge for us, we gladly accepted that in leu of the view and authenticity of the structure. Going up and down the stairs in the morning for coffee to enjoy at our leisure was difficult though. Perhaps, placing a pot in the common areas on each floor might solve this? Otherwise, our experience was surreal! Love these people and this place!

Our view from our balcony was magical with swans greeting us every morning. The staff was fantastic from our hostess to the restaurant staff! The authenticity of this accomadation and it's history was exactly what we were looking for. The food was incredible in the restaurant and the included breakfast was varied and wonderful in a great room. We loved Hallstatt, especially in the morning and night when the tourists weren't crowding the streets. Be sure and visit the archeological museum beneath the shop on the way to the ferry!

The only thing that I did not like is the shuttle service. The shuttle service is so bad. I have waited more than 40 minutes for the shuttle.

We liked all of it. I wish there were no stairs but it’s unavoidable in a place like Hallstatt.

Great location. On top of a restaurant which only serves dinner if you are staying. Decently nice breakfast which makes the cost of staying here more reasonable. In the center of the Hallstatt main location!

You better stay in this hotel than on the square, you have a much nicer view! The staff is sooo sweet, and you also stay in a hundreds of years old house and that is a beautiful experience!
