Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LithuaniaMy room was very ascetic, only basic stuff, and broken safe. A lovely receptionist unsuccesfully tried to fix it by herself, promised to fixed it next day though that did not happen. A/C was very tired and noisy, pretty hard to sleep because of that, so you are forced to open the window. Beer garden outside the window gets silent around 11 pm, but then around 5-6 am restaurant deliveries start to come in and very loud construction works start nearby. Basically impossible to sleep even with closed windows. Main street construction works make it pretty hard to access hotel by car.
Original building, combination of hotel and brewery with a cozy beergarden and decent restaurant.

United KingdomThin small towels, v small toiletries, pricey food in the garden restaurant. But, overall an excellent choice.
Big quiet room, very big bathroom. Lovely beer garden as part of the hotel bar. At first we thought the hotel was out of the way but we found it was equidistant between the Hapsburg Centre in the centre and the Summer Palace.

United StatesWas not aware of breakfast charge even though I was advised after that yes it says it on booking.com I did not read it prior to check in as I booked room months before. . Was not aware of charge for breakfast when actually going to eat it. . So in oversight on my part, however so guests are fully informed and aware that breakfast is not included , would recommend having a sign in the breakfast room when people sign in to say the charge that will be applied on checkout so that it is transparent. It would be nice if no smoking were allowed by the breakfast room because smoke from outside blows in the breakfast room when eating.
Friendliness of especially night hotel staff. The ladies who helped with breakfast were nice and the food was good.

South AfricaA little maintenance being done outside the property, in the area. Moving heavy luggage with wheels is a small challenge using their ramps.
Hidden gem with beautiful courtyard thats located in quiet area away from the busy streets, good shops nearby and very quick walk to main train station!

SwedenHuge TV on the desk, and the seating at the desk was not too comfortable. This was a minor minus. But if you do not have to write it is not a big issue. Also about the area: Westbahnhof station might be a bit daunting depending on the time of the day/evening, especially exiting from Outer Mariahilferstrasse where the nearer tram stop Gerstnerstrasse is located (to go back to hotel or walk to the hotel). Tip: exit the metro from the exit on the main square and catch the tram 58 or 60 from there (it is just one tram stop removed from Gerstnerstrasse stop, 200 m, and intersecting with tram 5 line stop).
Very quiet, spacious room with excellent bathroom facilities, and a safebox in the room to store valuables was also very good. Plenty of cloth hangers and storage like a proper closet and a long mirror. I could borrow an iron and ironing board from the staff, to keep my wardrobe in good shape. A small refrigerator was a key asset to store cold water and fruit. Aircon was a life saver during an incredibly warm week (35-36 C). The surroundings offered some really nice food choices, including the in-house brewery and restaurant. I ate breakfast at the hotel only once and it was delicious, with the personnel preparing a perfect cappuccino, the buffet was varied but not extensive, very tasty scrambled eggs and freshly cut pineapple. Personnel are helpful, kind and laidback. Now to the area: A few hundred metres away from the hotel there is an excellent Italian icecream parlour. Just across the street from the hotel a traditonal old bakery-pastry place and café. Having the tram stop just outside the door was an easy way to commute with the Westbahn station. What I appreciated the most was the accessibility to the main transport intersections, the hotel is strategically placed and in 10-15 minutes one can reach any place in the city centre, and the Metro U3 (orange line) takes you back to the fast CAT train hub to the airport. A tram takes you directly from the hotel's nearest stop to Schönbrunn, in approximately 15 minutes. I would definitely book again because of all these elements combined, the hotel and its position.

United KingdomI have only one complaint: The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. I think the mattress needs to be replaced as it seemed to sink in the middle. Also, the fitted sheet was very old (and bobbly) and so needs to be replaced too. An additional suggestion: I think more than one pillow needs to be provided because the single pillow was very uncomfortable.
The hotel was very clean - my room was cleaned every day. The location was very convenient. The room was modern and nicely decorated. The restaurant and bar was very good. The staff were helpful.

Czech RepublicWe chose the hotel without any previous experience and it was a great choice. The accommodation was very pleasant. Big clean room, nice service and excellent food and beer. Sitting outside in the garden came in very handy after the trips. Everything was close from the hotel. On foot and by tram. For us, the hotel is a clear choice for our next stay.

United StatesFantastic breakfast with wide selection of hot and cold, sweet and savory items. Extra fee for the breakfast, but well worth it. Very convenient to have the brewery/restaurant in-house. The courtyard garden was a lovely spot for breakfast or dinner. Very conveniently located for taking public transportation, which is extensive and well run in Vienna. If you're there for 3 or more days, get a weekly pass and use it on the trains, trams, and buses.
