The room was dark and got little natural light. The floor boards were very old and every time you moved anywhere in the room it would creak so loudly.

It has a nice connecting restaurant and the room was spacious and quiet, as was the bathroom, with windows you could open for fresh air. Very friendly staff.

The AC wasn’t working and it was pretty hot so we went to ask on the reception why its not working and they told us its currently not working and we may use the central heat system to regulate temperature. It was still hot in the room so we turned on the AC by hand by pressing it and it worked perfectly throughout the stay. Also the commodity didn’t have any coffee machine which is essential for some people and the cafe on the first floor was closed couple of times that we went down to get coffee, so we had to go outside to have a coffee.

It was a clean cosy hotel with a great bed and it was in general a nice accomodation.

This is not something that bothered me, but it should be mentioned. It is true that at times it takes ten seconds or so for the warm water to come, but this is normal in an old building. If you wish to appreciate a genuine experience, this is a small price to pay. It is also true that there is no soundproofing, but the building is beautiful and old and I suppose it would be very difficult to have it soundproofed. It would also ruin the muffled sound of the Viennese wind that can be appreciated in a warm room :-) If someone is a light sleeper, they can bring earplugs in case there is some noise. The possible sounds of neighbours in the hotel building are not a reason to miss out on this great experience.

My room at the Brauhof Wien was one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. It was literally spotless. I cannot imagine how much time the cleaning service puts into making the rooms look the way they look. Thank you! The room in the beautiful old building provides an authentic Viennese experience, it has a hardwood floor, an exceptionally high ceiling and huge ceiling-high windows that can be opened in full (using the authentic old mechanism). These windows, of course, provide lots of natural light. The room is also modernly equipped - it has a modern wardrobe (huge, even though the room was for one), a large writing desk, a huge TV (I especially appreciated that the TV could be moved - I could watch it from different parts of the room). The wi-fi was stable and good throughout my stay. The bedding was warm and the heating was sufficient. It could be regulated from within the room. Last but not least, during my two-night stay I communicated with three different staff members at the reception desk, and they were all equally wonderful, highly professional and efficient. The level of cleanliness and the excellent staff would be enough to recommend this hotel, but it has many other bonuses. I did not try the food and the beer, maybe next time!

The fruit selection for the breakfast could be somehow better.

Comfortable spacious room with all the amenities you'd expect. I liked that the bathroom had windows and let in the natural light during the day. The breakfast was very good, wifi was fast and reliable. The hotel is well-connected to all major sights in Vienna and super convenient if you're arriving from the Westbahnhof station. Friendly staff. A restaurant/brewery downstair is a plus if you don't want to go out far to have lunch/dinner.

The location is very convenient to move around with metro and tram. But still, the Westbahnhof area is not the best district if you are looking to feel the authentic vibe of Vienna. For us price/performance factor was a priority as we knew that we would just come back to the hotel for a sleep. Which was a very good choice regarding this. The hotel has a very nice beer hall and a restaurant and they are making their beer. I am personally satisfied with my experience at the Brauhof Wien Hotel.

The hotel isn't suitable for wheelchair users or travellers carrying heavy suitcases or strollers. There is only one lift in the entire building, and it was out of service upon my arrival. Had to lug my suitcase up 2 flights of stairs to get to the 2nd floor where my room was located. 3 nights later, the lift was still out of service.

Great location (10mins walk away from Westbahnhof), good room facilities with complimentary water and toiletries provided. Supermarkets and pharmacy is nearby, with some late night eateries around the vicinity.

We didn't have any view outside our window, just walls and some other windows. We couldn't see the sky. We were told in a message that we had a room on the 2nd floor as we had requested, but our room was on the 1st floor. A tea/coffee in the room would have been very welcome although we did get a free bottle of water.

Beautiful building. Nice bar/restaurant. Great food. Very clean rooms. Large bathroom. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Good location just outside city centre. Public transport outside and U station 5 mins down the road. The small free chocolate sweet left on the bed was a nice touch.

I booked a room with view for inner garden but unfortunately no view from the window. The mattress was a little bit not comfortable.

The location was great, next to Vienna West Station (Wien Westbahnhof) so all the time i was connected to the city, airport and other cities in Austria. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the check in and the checkout process were so easy and smooth. The hotel inner decoration was amazing it is like piece of art and i enjoyed walking inside. The room was way too large for one person, so you feel comfortable if you have big language. The room was well decorated, and they put water and chocolate as welcoming for the guests. The bathroom was also big, clean and fully equipped. The room was clean too. The Wi-Fi was fast. The luggage storeroom was also large. The price was fair since i booked the hotel at the same day of my stay.

The reception staff were a bit hit and miss, some were lovely while others were indifferent. While the room overall was comfortable the pillow stuffing had become clumpy and it needed replacing.

Brauhof hotel was perfectly located, it was really easy to get around. It is beautifully decorated and you have everything you need in the room. Helena in the breakfast room was absolutely amazing, making sure you had a wonderful start to your morning.
