Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room itself was quite basic and strangely had a different room for the toilet and the shower/sink. I expect that was to manage space requirements.
For me, the location was great. Right opposite the train station so very handy for travelling if interrailing and nearby tram/metro stops for travel into the city centre. The staff were also very nice and helpful.

United KingdomThe bathroom was at unusual (less than 90 degrees angle) so the toilet was cramped, we were both 5 foot 5, but anyone with longer legs would have found their knees pressing against the wall as they sat. No water or tea / coffee making facilities in the bedroom.
Situated opposite main station, easy to find and walk (eg to Belvedere Palace). Staff were helpful and let us leave our bags after checking out so we could go to the Easter Market. We also checked in a little early, no problem.

BulgariaSome pretty minor things that didn' worth to mention.
Very good location. Close to the Main railways station, which means 15 mins by train to the airport and walking distance to the city center. Quiet cozy room. Very pleasent stuff.

SwitzerlandThe onliest true minus point is the isolation. We heard a bit too well the other people coming and leaving, which impacted the sleep of one of us especially. A less important minus point is the smell of the room when we arrived. As said on the plus side, it was very clean, but it smelled so... No big deal, as it disappeared with fresh air, but I guess it's a downside of the size of the room, which is alright, but a little bit small. Another minor (relative) point, is that we booked a family room, but there apparently wasn't any left, so we were given 2 double rooms instead. It was late, our children are around 10, so we didn't bother much and it was alright at the end. That said, I can't really say it's an upgrade and, honestly, we could have complained. When you book for four, especially with children, you may expect not to be separated. It's not the same as just getting a better room.
First, it's really close to the central station (literally 5 min. to the train by foot). Second, the beds were very comfortable. Third, the room were perfectly clean. For the price we paid (which was an action apparently), it's a pretty good deal, as this are (the) major points. The bathroom was very nice too.

North MacedoniaOur room was on a far corner of the hotel where there was no WiFi. We complained to the staff, but there was nothing they could do, so we were left without internet during our stay
Nice hotel on great location next to the main station and a metro station. The staff was polite and they let us leave the luggage when we arrived earlier and same after checkout. The hotel is old, but the rooms were clean and spacious

CyprusNo aircondition in the room, so dont go in summer because it was already hot especally in the toilet - I cant image how hot would be in the summer. No mini fridge in the room to have our staff. They didnt clean our room in our stay, they came only to change the towels - didnt take the trash out or something else. Outside of the hotel is "Garner hotel" not Yggotel as the name - hard to find it if you dont know that.
Good location, nice decoration in the room, the bathroom was good and has hot water all day. The bed was very comfy expect the pillows were very hard, The reception is working 24hrs.

United KingdomPlace has an identity crisis. Previously it was the Novum Congress Hotel but when I booked it was Yggotel Mejse. I thought I'd made a mistake as where I thought it was was neither so I kept walking then took my booking out to check the number and it was the place I'd thought it was. Now called the Garner Hotel. This was signed in the reception though key card and some notices and branding in the room mentioned Yggotel Mejse. A recent takeover ?? There was a notice up about some changes going on. Strangely when I logged on to the free Wi-FI in my room it was still Novum Congress Hotel. Otherwise its a very nice hotel.
Stayed here before a few times its just over the road from the main station and is reached by subway from the main concourse under the road. Just a few minutes walk. There is a good selection for breakfast. Had a room at the back so away from the busy road in front. There are tram routes and U-bahn to various parts of the city plus S bahn regional trains and main line trains just over the road or down the subway.

Canadathey don't accept early check-in however you can drop your luggage at the reception. there was only one plug available in my room... the others were connected to the lamps. breakfast is very expensive, almost 15 EUR per person.. if you have time I would recommend you to have breakfast at a local place per a cheaper price.

Czech RepublicThe location is perfect near the main train station, however, it took me a while to realise that the hotel is inside another one. As it was dark outside, it was a bit harder for me to find the paper in the reception window with the name of the hotel I booked. Also, there was not enough power sockets in the room. I found only one behind the TV and you could use another one if you unplugged the lamp on the night stand. It just was not enough for my needs.
I stayed just for one night as Vienna was my transfer city to another destination. I arrived quite late in the evening, yet the reception was still open and the lady there was nice. I booked a single room and it had (almost) everything one may need for a one-night stay. I liked the hygge vibe.

United KingdomSignposting could be better as the hotel had name changes and the Yggotel brand is only visible once inside, at reception.
Repeat stay at this great hotel for Vienna main station and connections to the airport. Renovated last year and under new management, the rooms are modern, stylish and clean. Excellent value for money especially compared to the big chain hotels by the station.
