Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Irelandunfortunately we had many negative experiences here. i had trouble paying which resulted in being double charged (which was resolved quickly), had trouble checking in, room was extremely small with no lockers or storage space and also very hot with only one small fan, no curtains on the windows which was facing the main street, outside the hostel was very unsafe. We experienced a group of people drinking, fighting and harassing directly outside the hostel on most nights of our stay. they woke us up with shouting multiple times throughout the night. on one occasion they entered the communal area and demanded people’s room numbers and threatened to call police which made us feel extremely unsafe. there were no staff present to report this to.
beds were comfy, communal area was very nice, rooms and bathrooms clean, location within walking distance to most attractions.

RomaniaThe online check in process was not that easy for me, as the app had some errors. Assistance was provided from the hostel by phone and also from a kind person staying there. If you don't speak the language, some messages you get from the app/website might need some translation. One of the buttons from the room locker was broken and did not work all the time, so it took me a few tries.
It's located very close to Vienna's central train station, very convenient if you have a late arrival or early departure from Vienna. The check in process is made online, they even have an app for that. I called for assistance and they were very helpful. You are given clean bed sheets (that you have to set up yourself) and a small towel. You need a passing code to enter each room, also you have a lock for your bed as well. On the hallway, there are separate bathrooms for men and women (corresponding to many rooms). The bathroom has toilets, a sink and a hairdryer. On the hallway you also find few shower rooms. Each room with a shower and a sink (here, there is no soap provided).

United StatesAwesome concept. Self check in is quite simple and the hostel is about 10 meters from the metro station that takes you into the center and a huge shopping center.

Czech Republicants in the room, hard to sleep when they run over your face, also got them in my food. Terrible uncomfortable beds, pillow looked like some dog already killed it. You hear EVERYTHING from the corridor and it’s noisy all night long (you won’t sleep much). I would go with capsules hostels next time.
very good location, checkin done online, you can come late at night and leave very soon

Belgiumthe check-in system is a nightmare. they give you three kinds of pin which is super creative yet confusing. meanwhile, there is no reception at all, and I have to make phone calls again and again. the bed is not comfortable at all with noisy bed door (when looking at the picture I thought it was a great design with privacy), but it’s actually very annoying… the shared bathroom is outside, with automatic light that will not turn on 5 times out of 10. if your budget is not THAT limited, don’t step in. Just don’t.

CanadaThe rooms are so unbearably hot, no ACs in a 3x3 room with 6 people sleeping in it and in the lower floor you cannot open the window, I had to sleep in the lobby once as I couldn't even breath in the room and for another night I ended up renting another place and I couldn't get a refound for checking out earlier. There's no locker available but you can lock your bed which is cool but then you have to sleep in your bed with your luggage and backpack. It is a self service hostel and there's no reception avaliable and no security guard which is not really nice if you have a problem. I didn't feel safe as there are too many homeless people around the neighborhood they try to come in by force they scream outside and there's no security at the door to prevent any accidents. Overall I was not that happy with the hostel, I was not comfortable there.
It is a very clean hostel, and it's very close to the public transport.

IrelandThere werent staff to welcome guests, access is done through a pin code and most, if not, all guests find it confusing what to do. Proximity of location is good but area is a bit rough. A lot of junkies at night, one time we were awaken by someone screaming we don’t know if the guy was inside our room or was outside through the window. Thats the thing because no staff is present, anybody can just barge in when other guests open the doors. In my stay there 2 instances when the police has to come over theft/robbery incident. Most disappointing for me is the bunk beds or should I say lockers. So there aren’t any lockers in the room, your bed more like a pod has a code and it is basically your own locker too. Not advisable if you have big luggage. And since it is summer, there isnt any ventilation in the room, its very hot plus youre in a wooden coffin. ✌️
Location is good close to Train Station and Belvedere Palace.

CanadaIt's very inhumanly hot in the rooms as there is no AC avaliable in the rooms and you cannot open the windows in lower floor's rooms. I had to stay in the lobby one night! There's no lockers in the rooms and your locker is basically your bed which is not very practical, you have to sleep with your stuff in the bed. The reception is very rarely open, there's no one available to help you if you have a problem or you need something also no security, so sometimes it doesn't feel safe.

TurkeyThe luggage room that you can put your bags before check-in isn’t safe. You have to lock it manually after you drop your bag but some people doesn’t, so it can stay open. And while i was in lobby, a guy came in and asked for money. Code thing can be safe but you can get inside when someone opens the door. Someone on the front desk is must for security. Rooms are hot and not comfortable.
It was clean and staff was helpful when they were around. But they are not always around.

GermanyThe rooms to stay in are very suffocating. There was no air conditioning. My room was right next to street and there were drunk people playing really loud music all night. Without keeping window open the room was really suffocating. Hence i could not really sleep wooden panels do give privacy but in summer they also make the room very claustrophobic.
The common room and kitchen are really nice.

HungaryThe doors and walls are a little thin, so we could hear the other guests. Also, for some reason, sometimes the air conditioning wasn't turned on in the common area, even tho it was 30 degrees outside - it was a bit uncomfortable.
The location of the facility was excellent - we arrived by train, so the hostel was easely found. We really liked the common area, and the decoration. The bathrooms were awesome, and the system works perfectly!

AustraliaThe check-in is confusing if you do it for the first time. i needed several attempts before I was successful. They ask for information that they don’t need eg copies of passports etc - no-one else has such a laborious check-in process. Propose you make it simpler as you have a winner with the on-line check in concept
Well setup, clean and great location
