Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I enjoyed my stay generally at The Do Stay Hostel I found staff generally quite helpful and made some great friends at the hostel. I like that there were cooking facilities available at the hostel. The hostel was in a great location as it was central to many of the touristic attractions of Vienna.

The only downside of the Inn was the smell in the corridor. Luckily it wasn't present in our room, but the corridor smelled strongly of cigarettes.
For the price, the room was spotless and quiet. The beds were also quite comfortable. As the Inn is not even 5 min away from the Westbahnhof, its location is ideal to travel around.

The bathroom could have been cleaner. Also, someone turned the heating up to maximum, so the room smelled like burning and felt like a sauna when we entered. After turning the heating down and opening the windows, it got bearable, but the smell lingered for a while.
Quick and uncomplicated check-in. The location is perfect for any trip to the city, public transport etc close by. The room is anything but huge, but it serves the purpose for a weekend trip just fine.

The hostel should have someone in night, If we do late check in. Reception was closed when we came by 12 am. But somehow we managed
I liked the hostel as it was warm & its having facilities in washroom with everything. Its nearby to westbahnof train station.

The pillow was big and nice but it had to be thicker!
Nice hostel, near supermarket and metro station. It wasn't crowded, I only had 2 roommates,so it was quite and nice!

Each bed should have its own electrical outlet
The dinning, the kitchen and other common areas are quite nice and you'll find anything you need to cook. The lockers are big enough

A huge projector was facing our window so it was impossible to sleep without the blinds shot down. The room is very small and the walls are colored too bright.
The location is nice. The interior of the common use spaces is nice and cozy. The breakfast is nice for its price (7€ pro person).

There were a lot of power sockets in a room but they weren't located near bed which isn't comfortable.
Hostel was clean, bed in my room was comfortable, I liked that they give towel for free. It's good that they give possibility of self check in online, that option allowed me to save time, Receptionist was polite and kind. Hostel Is located near West train station and there is also metro and bus to the airport which is very important if you have an early flight. It was my second stay in Vienna and I liked it, its interesting that during my first trip to Vienna I stayed in do step inn Central.

We liked it all.
We had a room for two. We were surprised to find such a lovely room in a hostel. It was quiet and opened onto a garden area. Check in was so easy. Location. Right across the street from the WestBahnhoff station and mall. Great area for transportation and shopping. We would easily recommend this for families with children.

Some of staff were not prepared to deal with customer requests. Overall, the team tried the best to accomodate.
