Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBreakfast was disappointing. Started at 7:30 but if you arrived at 7:40 it was like a plague of locusts had passed through and there was virtually nothing left! Kitchen was really slow at replacing empty platters -if at all. Felt a bit hounded out on checkout day - yes, checkout time was 10am but was a bit fed up with a ‘hurry up’ on leaving breakfast at 7:50!
Excellent, central location for IM event. Comfortable, clean room with extra pillows provided on request.

HungaryThe weather was quite cold during my stay and I would have loved some heating in the room, but unfortunately it was already turned off. Unfortunately I had to leave early in the morning so I could not have breakfast, even though I paid for it.
Cella Central Historic Boutique Hotel is a very nice accomodation with lovely enterior and very nice and helpful staff. The room was clean and cosy, the bed was big and comfortable and the bathroom was also very spacious. The staff was very helpful with making it possible to store my bike during the night and also helped me very early in the morning to get it.

Austria- No elevator for 3rd floor (you have take lift to 2nd ans then up you go on stairs) - There's no parking at the hotel (they have a very small one close to the hotel for you to drop your bags and then go to the rathaus parking which is 1-2mins away by car) you have to call them for them to open the barrier to the small parking. - I didn't like the beds (very bouncy and too soft) but that's a taste thing I guess. Overall, I was happy with stay and can recommend.
- No a/c but room had a fan in it and thank God because it was needed - we had two different receptionist, first one didn't give full information on anything, you always had to ask and ask and ask. The second one was very professional, very friendly and superb with information. - location very central and at the famous instagramable hanging umbrellas and less than 10mins away walk to the lake. - very classic austrian style hotel with long history if you are into that sort of thing. - very close to billa (supermarket) Tip: This town wakes up late, so only restaurants in hotels are open early, nothing seems to be open before 9/10am.

Saudi ArabiaThe location is excellent. But there are no insulators in the rooms. The disturbance of passers-by in the street next to my room wakes me up from my sleep. There is no air conditioning, but there is a fan.. It is good, but I do not think of returning to it in the future

United KingdomIt was all small things but the space didn't feel fully designed for skier guests. For example we were on the third floor but the lift only ran to 2nd floor meaning we had to carry our equipment up and down and we couldn't find a drying rack in the room.
Room was clean and spacious. Staff were very helpful. Having access to a spa after a day of skiing was amazing!

Czech RepublicOur room was right above the hotel/restaurant entrance so some nights were too noisy. We kept the windows shut but it did not help much.
The hotel is located in the middle of Zell am See. It was very easy to rent a ski nearby and visit Kaprun. We left our car at a parking lot located just behind Bernsteins bar for around 15EUR/night.

GermanyWe paid for a better room for our anniversary as it showed seating. Our room didn't have the advertised 2 chairs and small table. There is sadly no table space as the TV is not mounted and took all the space on the counter which made the coffee making a bit awkward. There was no milk for the coffee. We had to take the fridge plug out so we can plug the kettle on. So we suggest sorting out the plugs better and easier for guest. ( wasn't a big issue though) The breakfast was great, but we suggest a better layout. Very awkward moving around other guests. The egg boiler didn't work properly. You had to walk to other side of restaurant to get coffee. But the staff were super helpful to assist with anything.
Fantastic location. Lovely welcome from Kelly with a glass of sparkling wine. She gave us a detailed intro to the town and hotel. Room was clean and beds very comfy. The linen and towels were clean and good quality.

United StatesMaybe a tv in the bedroom, but really not the end of the world.
The location is perfect and in the heart of Zell am see. Easy to walk everywhere. There was some street noise at night due to the events happening around the time of stay but we were able to sleep with the noise of the fan to drown them out. The spa in the basement is perfect. There are 2 saunas, a steam room and hot tub in addition there are several showers. it was fairly new and very clean. I wish I would have visited on the first day but e only realized it as there on our last full day. Also we visited the bar next door (and accessible through the basement). Lovely place, great music and friendly staff. I think it was called Bernsteins. We would come back to this place.
