This was one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a long time! From the moment I arrived, everything felt well-organized, exceptionally clean, and had a warm, personal touch. The service was outstanding in every aspect—friendly and attentive staff, excellent housekeeping, efficient check-in and check-out, and a team always willing to offer great recommendations for things to do in town. I celebrated my birthday during my stay, and the hotel went above and beyond to make it extra special, which was such a thoughtful touch. The spa facilities were a highlight—there’s a beautiful heated outdoor pool with drink service, as well as an indoor spa area with saunas and a steam room, all kept impeccably clean and truly relaxing. The hotel’s modern facilities, comfortable rooms with cozy beds, and charming little balconies made the stay even more enjoyable. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from one of the main gondolas for skiing, with the rest also within walking distance. Being right in town meant we had everything we needed close by. We also dined at the hotel’s restaurant several nights, and the food was absolutely delicious—we kept coming back for more! Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying in cannot recommend it highly enough. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's exceptional service. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and eager to assist with any request. Additionally, I had the opportunity to dine at the hotel's restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The menu featured a variety of delicious dishes, showcasing both local flavors and international cuisine. The breakfast buffet was particularly noteworthy, offering a wide selection of fresh and tasty options to start the day. In summary, the hotel exceeded all my expectations and provided an outstanding experience. Little bit further than we thought to get to ski lifts.

Lovely buffet breakfast . Locker room for skis and boots. Beautiful spa. Really enjoyed the jets in the pool- great to massage those sore muscles!

Only a couple of minor niggles; there aren't hooks in the bathroom (there is a heated towel rail but what about bathrobes etc?) and our glasses weren't changed until I had to ask. It is a walk uphill to various lifts, so you're hot before starting to ski. But these are mostly not that far. It seems the whole town has to trudge one way or another to get to the multiple lifts or gondolas available and so having multiple options far outweighs the uphill walk!

Service was really good and all the staff helpful and friendly throughout our stay, whether this was for queries regarding mountain restaurants, bookings for activities or taxis etc. The spa is fab with sauna and steam rooms and teas to quench your thirst while lounging in the relaxation room. The outdoor pool could have been warmer for me, but I think this is subjective. The vast breakfast selection suited everyone in our mixed group, and eggs were served fast when ordered. Would maybe have liked a couple more hot options, other than just eggs/ bacon. There is a private dining room which was allocated to our group for breakfasts (i like that tables were allicated with place names- made it simpler), and this is great for group dinners away from the main dining room. We liked the lounge with outside terrace for pre or post dinner drinks/afternoon coffee, overlooking the small slope. The hotel is modern with a traditional feel to it and when asked where we were staying the response was always: oo, that's nice. So, although we didn't check out any other hotels, clearly this one is perceived as higher end. There is a short slope at the back of the hotel to ski the last 20metres. It has a pulley too, good for beginners, although they wouldn't let us use it to help get up when using our sledges.

Bit far for me to walk to lifts (except Schattberg Xpress). Would have liked half pension. Menu in restaurant could have included more Austrian desserts. Could hear doors slamming loudly so often - very annoying. The shower was very tiny. I'm old fashioned so like a cupboard for clothes.

Wonderful staff! Couldn't have been nicer or more obliging. Great breakfasts. Liked heated boot rail in the ski locker. Loved heated floors in the bathroom. A nice hotel to stay at. Thank you.

As a hotel that welcomes children to stay, I found it a little strange that it was acceptable for men & women to be walking around naked in the spa area & showering when there were children about.

Breakfast was fab, fresh fruits & plenty of choice.

The only gripe I have is there wasn't a wardrobe or drawers for our clothes.... we had a small hanging rail & an open shelf for two girls skiing & staying for one week. Very messy and not easy to find our clothes. We kept most of our stuff in our case all week, which was a ball ache. Also NO MIRROR.... two girls no mirror is a disaster! We had a small mirror in the bathroom that was it.

Loved this hotel. The staff made our stay even more enjoyable. From the all day all night 24 hours it seemed.....front desk service to the cleaners of our room, everyone looked so happy to help. The breakfast was amazing. So fresh and such a variety of lovely food to choose from, found it hard to not have a 6 course every morning! Would have topped it off if we had any snow this week as the hotel was so close to the slopes. Ski in ski out....if snow was on the ground. All in all would love to return to this hotel. Been to Saalbach 4 times now this was the best hotel. We dined in the restaurent a couple of times and the food was really good.

Diner in the hotel was very convenient. The menu was ok but not great. There was limited closed storage in the bedroom for suitcase stuff, clothing.

Location right below the best ski lift, close to centre. Excellent hotep facilities with spa, outdoor hot Swimming Pool, great breakfast, wonderful beds and spacious bedroom. Very clean.

Perfect location, very good facilites for mountain bikers. Very friendly staff and very nice spa and pool. We had a nice room with the view on the mountains and altough the furniture in some rooms is not new is well preserved. All toghether very good value for the money and I can only recomend this hotel.

We had such a great stay at the Hotel Gappmaier. We were there for a business-mountain biking trip and the staff kindly offered us a late check-out, which was amazing. We had dinner at the Hotel and it was delicious. Great wine selection and fantastic choice on the dinner menu. The breakfast buffet was to die for, everything one could want - from muesli to cold cuts to juices, the option to order specific egg dishes via clever order notes on the table. Again the staff was so nice and helpful. So nice also to meet the owner who showed us the amazing mountain biking facilities - including wash station, lockable storage and even a shower next to it! One of the highlights was the garden with its comfy lounges, the beautiful mountain view and amazing post-ride vibes. Not to mention the brand-new spa and wellness area and pool - we'll be back!

One of the rooms overlooked the main road and was opposite an enormous, ugly carpark. Not very scenic.

Really good location, close to lifts and restaurants in the town centre. One of our rooms had gorgeous views. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The spa area was delightful, the pool was lovely although very small.
