Unfortunately the mattresses on the beds were dented and the beds creaked terribly with every move, which caused we waked up during the night.

I found the bed and pillows uncomfortable; in fact, both my wife and I woke up with headaches. The room is furnished in a very basic way: a chair in the room and a bottle of drinking water would have been appreciated.

The Gasthof is located in a quiet area outside Salzburg but allows for easy access to the city. For those not planning to travel by car, the bus terminal right in front is very convenient.

WiFi was weak. It only worked in certain locations in the room. I ended up sitting in the entry way most of the time I wanted to use it.

Would be nice if they had a kettle and coffee station in the room - which they don’t. So you have to go downstairs to get coffee or tea.

For some facilities it was too vintage. The shower too small, no lift.

The bathroom was not a room - it was sectioned from the main bedroom with a curtain. This made it a bit difficult to dry off and get dressed. It wasn’t a problem for us but if you were staying with someone who needed a private bathroom this might be an issue. Also there was no fridge in the room and it smelt of cigarette smoke. I don’t think it was recent, but was unpleasant when the room was closed.

The location was perfect - very comfortable and quiet and very easy to get into Salzburg by bus - it left from outside the front door basically. The breakfast was very nice and reasonably priced. The staff were good at breakfast and with room cleaning. The restaurant looked very good also but was closed on the days we were there.

Road noise in the early morning woke us.

Nice old fashioned pub hotel. Room was comfortable if a little basic (shower in the bedroom not in a separate bathroom) but comfortable and quiet. Great restaurant on site and very good breakfast buffet.

There's no lift, but it's just 2 floors. The WiFi coverage and speed was pretty bad.

Breakfast had decent options, the owner was very polite and helpful. We loved the view from our room, surrounded by beautiful Austrian mountains.

That it was closed when we got there, hotel and pub. The room could have used a coffee maker and offered free breakfast, most do at this rate.

The room was a good size and decorated nicely. Self check in was easy. There is a beautiful mountain right there out your window if on the correct side.
