Extremely welcoming, friendly family run hotel. Ernest greeted us on arrival, with a glass of locally produced cider. The evening meal was fantastic, cooked by chef Ernest and family. Highly recommend a stay at this place.

I have nothing negative, only positives

The owners were very pleasant and kind, they took care of us perfectly. The dinner is very tasty, the portion of food is huge, the breakfast is perfect. The owner advised us how to travel further along the cycle paths around the Danube. I recommend everyone to visit this place, because we were really very satisfied.

The host and his wife are very friendly and welcoming. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and our room was spotlessly clean. The rooms are a little old fashioned. We were able to store our bicycles in the garage at the rear of the property. Good value for money with nice touches such as home made jam with breakfast.

We were greeted by the owner with glasses local Apple/pear cider. Room was comfortable, the owner prepares a delicious and large dinner, breakfast offered a selection of items including home made cake, and fresh fried/scrambled individually prepared eggs. This was a joyful stay, welcoming and engaging host on arrival. Later to discover that the owner was the 'private' chef and came to chat at our table prior to preparing a delightful meal for us both. Our stay here was one of the highlites for us.... many thanks!!!

We had a basic room with no frills, but the service was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful host who spoke good English provided extras that are not usually included, and which made a difference to our comfort. Spent two nights. Church and roman ruins museum worthwhile. Food at Gasthof outstanding, really gourmet.

A warm, friendly welcome. Enjoyed the delicious refreshing Perry (cider) on arrival. Loved the location in the centre of pretty Wallsee with its beautiful historic buildings. The room was basic and very comfortable. The homemade food from local produce prepared by the owner was delicious. A perfect stay.

The staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. The room was simple and cosy. The location is the center of the quaint town of Wallsee. We had a lovely walk down to the river and around the castle (which isn't open to the public). There is a supermarket across the street, a bakery next door and a lovely restaurant with nice decor and good food right in the hotel. For cyclists (like us) they have a garage to store the bikes. I felt the price was great for the comfortable room and wonderful hospitality.

Location was easy to find, right across the beautiful Wallsee castle. Beds were very comfortable and the entire place very clean.The owner was very nice, gave us very good recommendations for the next day. He welcomed us with free cold drinks as he saw that we came by bicycles in a hot day; later he cooked us a great dinner. Loved staying there!
