Probably an English menu would help hosts who dont' speak German to feel a little bit more comfortable when they have to order a dish.

The room was enormous and extremely clean with great views on the main road of Gmund. The bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff is really kind and helpful (they speak just a little of English, but, however, they are very attentive). The hotel's restaurant serves traditional food and is very good.

Our stay in this hotel was an amazing experience. Room was very big and comfy. Corridor was full of beautiful exponents, we felt like in museum. Breakfast was very good and with big choice. Owner was very helpful and ready to support all the time. Food in restaurant was also very good, especially Maltataler Sibling Highly recommended!!!

A little expensive for 1 night.

Great traditional hotel in the centre of Gmund. Perfect place to stay as a stopover. Very clean hotel with friendly staff and the room was very comfortable and of a style that you would see in a stately home. Breakfast was a bit limited but nevertheless there was enough food. Parking directly outside the hotel was very convenient. The hotel accepts dogs which is very much appreciated.

Some renovation was goin on at the same time but that did not bother us.

Beautiful historical place and super friendly staff! Visiting at the off season there were only couple rooms booked but the staff took really good care of us and we were able to choose our room. Very clean room and beautiful interior. Simple but tasty breakfast included breads with cheese and meat toppings, cereals, fruits and berries as well as delicious coffee and juice.

Gmünd is a beautiful little town and the hotel is just excellent. We had a large room with great atmosphere. We had dinner in the nice restaurant which was inexpensive, tawted great and the personnel was very serviceminded.

The location of the Gasthouse is right in the center of the city center. The view from the room was awesome. Specially for New year. Gmünd is very beautiful and has so much to offer to a person who loves history and small old cities. The stuff was very friendly. Everything was very clean and tidy. The room was spacious and had everything in it. Also the food in the restaurat (specially the Pfeffersteak) was delicious.

Breakfast was simple but consistent with other Austrian guesthouses. The location was central and perfect. The room was clean, well-appointed and comfortable.

Excellent hotel in the city center, it has a typical austrian / vintage look which I loved. Is perfect for a vacation stay in the area and I couldn't be more happy with the choice I made. I stayed there only one night, so my review is based on this timeline.

Beware if you have a heavy bags- there is no elevator.

Location - main square of the old town and free parking in front of hotel. Nice, interesting old building. Good breakfast.
